Is it asthma?
Hi all! I was wondering if I might be able to pick your collective brains please? I was diagnosed with asthma in June this year with a PF difference of 42%. I was short of breath frequently. I couldn't climb the stairs and speak at the same time. I had to sit and wait to catch my breath after having

Disappointing Consultation
Just had consult after 6 cycles carbo/caelyx (this is second line) not much shrinkage. CA number was 40 before 5th chemo and has gone up to 57! I made the mistake of asking to see my CT scan, never seen one before and I was horrified at the size of the tumours, knew the measurements but not actually

Asthma slow onset and atypical - getting help
Hi, I have the sort of asthma that doesn't fit the norm in that I don't weeze. I get breathless from doing things like walking but when I sit down it tends to go away after awhile. Last month I had a hell of an experience trying to get help for my worsening asthma symptoms. Part of the problem is covid

Dismissive Doctor
Hi all, At the end of May 2020 I had several
severe
asthma
attacks and have been having ongoing issues since then, including greatly restricted mobility that's effectively left me house bound.

Sharp stabbing pains in chest
Hi everyone! I ve probably asked this before but it’s the asthma symptom that most freaks me out in my case! Does anyone get the stabbing pains in their chest when it’s a bit irritated? My asthma is under control but I just get this from time to time and I don’t really know why if it’s under control

Restarted C25K after cancer
Hi, just relaying my experiences so you don't give up. I've just ran W4R2 after restarting Couch to 5K on New Years Day. That's 2 years to the day since I graduated C25K but things went a bit wrong after that. Graduated 1/1/19 but started getting slower and tired all the time. Finally found out I had

Steroids - Everything you need to know!
It does not tell them how
severe
your
asthma
is, nor does it tell them if you have asthma, tho it may indicate how uncontrolled your asthma may be (for those who respond to steroids). But basically if an adult scores <25 (children under 12 <20), they are unlikely to response to a steroid change.

Asthma and women of colour
Does Asthma affect women of colour more severely than men? Is this to do with genetic pre-disposition?

Tracheal narrowing and asthma
Hi, I have

uncontrollable persistent
asthma
, several hospital admissions etc. I had a CT scan of my neck done alongside some other tests, it showed that my oesophagus is pushing into my trachea and that my trachea has narrowed by half. Has anyone else experienced this?
