Which Puppies work for mild asthma/allergy - medium/standard dog breeds that are hypoallergenic
We had a standard Poodle before and this worked. We are looking in the UK for a list of cross breeds with a poodle that might work with my asthma. (eyes itchy and asthma causing in-frequent use of ventolin inhaler etc). My asthma is under control without dogs/cats/hay/dust at the moment but don't want

Newly diagnosed with asthma - need help!
I have been suffering with breathing difficulties for 2 years, following a severe chest infection. My breathing never got back to normal. I've tried to get help from the GP several times, but was told for the first year that 'it takes time to recover from chest infections' and in the second year that

My first post, how can I manage sleeplessness caused by asthma?
Hello, I'm 71 and have asthma, bronchiectasis, Marfan's syndrome and chronic pseudomonas infection. My immediate problem is that worsening breathlessness just before Christmas at night led to me having to sleep sat up on the sofa for a few nights. I can see from other posts that these are not uncommon

Asthma exacerbation after a cold
Hello! I’m looking for suggestions for self help to get my asthma back to its normal manageable state. It’s normally well controlled with Fostair 200 2x2 per day. Over a month ago I had a heavy cold, which led to a chest infection and exacerbated my asthma. I’ve had 1 course of antibiotics and 2 x5 day

Sugar, Fatty Foods, Bad Carbohydrates and Asthma...
Like many people I eat too much, too quickly and eat too much sugary junk. I certainly noticed a link between using my inhaler more after a food binge, especially with bad carbohydrates. Thankfully I'm at the stage in life where I'm starting to take control and be responsible for my health. (it's never

Is it normal to feel worse after Nucala injection?
I went through lots of tests and they confirmed I have
severe
asthma
After my first injection I got a chest infection 2 weeks later and the same seems to be happening again. My energy levels have also been rock bottom and I want to sleep at unsuitable times.

Are MRI's accurate in seeing endo in general? To operate or not?
Hiya, I'm asking this question because I've had very negative experiences of my adhesions showing. Following one mri which reported that I had one small area of endo, I had a lap to supposedly to remove only to find everything is stuck together, stage 4 endo with frozen pelvis. I'm now waiting in limbo

He has

allergic and Eosinophilic
asthma
but his IGE is to high for Omalizumab to be used as his first biologic and as he is under 18 Mepo is therefore the only option at this stage.

Covid the cause of asthma
Covid the cause of asthma? Has any been diagnosed with Asthma since having covid? I contracted covid just over a year ago and was quit poorly (not bad enough for hospital) and since then I have been struggling with Asthma symptoms. I stupidly tried to ignore it until winter and the cold weather hit

I am cleaning the house and have a movie called Knight and Day with Tom Cruise on tv for background noise. I walked by, and they have this super genius high school kid, who developed a technically advanced battery that the bad guys want. He is kidnapped and witnesses a murder and to show his “ nerdy

Why am I so slow and cannot concentrate on my life??
Hi all, hope all is well..... I have been partially diagnosed with chronic bronchitis or asthma (which is looking more like asthma now due to many symptoms) since: 05/05/2020 during the first UK Lockdown and for three days now I have been feeling slow therefore taking me twice as long to do anything

See a Professional Respiritory doctor
Morning everyone, hope your all keeping as well as can be. Seems so many of you have never had a proper respiritory check up by a Professional. How can this be, how can people diagnose respiritory illness without it. I asked my respiritory nurse why I had never been referred to chest clinic and asked

Reconsideration of peak flow as asthma deterioration measurement
I think doctor should reconsider the peak flow device as main effective method for asthma diagnosis, I think such device is only helpful in patients with non inflammatory asthma like COPD or lung fibrosis, I remember when I was 15 I had lost consciousness due to

asthma
flare up, and I remember
