Bronchiectasis

Would love to hear from anyone else who is only able to tolerate IV antibiotics. Acid reflux disease limits absorption of oral meds and my consultant decided that anti biotics should only be given intravenously to be effective. I also have chronic brittle asthma so have to receive antibiotics as an inpatient to monitor my asthma during the administering of IV antibiotics. My specialist consultant says I would not be considered to receive treatment at home because of the effect on my brittle asthma Consequently I spend quiet a lot of time in hospital due to recurring chest infections. Most people seem to be on oral antibiotics and I've not come across anyone else on IV only.
