An update on my journey
My journey is short so far and I'm still in the early diagnosis/treatment phase. It's being a drawn out process as I need to have further scans before decisions are being made. I was given the option to take steroids while I wait for the scans with the warning that the scans may be impacted by the steroids

Pain in back shoulder blade and clavicle
My husband was in such excruciating pain and frozen, I had to call 911 at 3am. ER ran all the tests, EMG, Chest X-ray, CT scan, blood and urine tests, nothing turned up. They sent him home with Vicodin as a muscle relaxant (which his neurologist promptly changed to an actual musical relaxant). He also

First Follow Up on my Treatment in Australia
This is a duplicate of my APC post for my friends on FPC. You rock! I previously described my treatment plans for my oligometastatic (<4 sites, in my case 2 lymph nodes in pelvis and abdomen) With a two-stage approach: I explain this in somewhat more detail in my post "Why I Choose an Unproven Treatment

Home urine tests
I was wondering if there are any reliable home urine tests to measure creatinine and protein in urine. So hard to know if these are reliable and give good results. My urine just looks different after having covid. Thank you

I do get pains in my lower back on and off so thought that is what the current pain was. It was getting me down do phoned the specialist nurse who referred to the mpn doctor

Lung transplant clinic appointment
Thankyou for all your good wishes. Well my first visit to Harefield was quite overwhelming. I only learnt as we were traveling down on Tuesday that I wld be having 'some' tests. Some! A lung function test, ecg, chest xray, blood pressure and sats, urine test and I couldn't count the number of vials

Could I have cirrhosis?
I am 28 years old. I have spider angiomas on my chest and palmar erythema on my hand. I used antipsychotic and antidepressant drugs for a long time. I have sometimes taken flu meds and roaccutane along with these meds. My doctor said it's nothing to worry about. But high direct bilirubin worries me.

Saline Infused Ultrasound for Menorrhagia
Just looking for a bit of advice. My PA (USA) is a bit quick and dismissive, so I end with appointments I don't really understand. I've had menorrhagia for 6 months (46yrs old) . Had an endometrial biopsy (normal), two vaginal ultrasounds (adenomyosis and an ovarian cyst), and now they think I might

Switch from Azithromycin to Doxycycline
Hi, I have severe asthma and pseudomonas infection for which I’ve been put back on Colomycin nebs following an infection that wouldn’t resolve, but did after I asked my GP if we could try a course of cipro (they didn’t try that first as sputum sample didn’t show pseudomonas). I’ve had to switch from

Tummy, Lower back - bladder?! Very anxious.
I have had issues recently with lower tummy pain 'widespread' and comes and goes with build up of gas and feeling at times of not being able to empty my bowels properly or suddenly having to go to the toilet with great urgency. Along with this I seem to have bladder complaints with feeling like on occasion
