A GP advises she or the surgery cannot give me a prescription for hypertonic saline as it is not on the surgery list.
Can anyone shed light on why a GP at my new surgery advises me that she cannot write me a prescription for hypertonic saline at 3% as it is not on her (something or other?) - I can't remember the word she used, she can prescribe normal saline apparently. The hypertonic saline has been advised and prescribed

Cervical excitation?
Hey again, Just wondering if anyone has been told they’ve had severe cervical excitation upon pelvic exam. The internal exam was PAINFUL beyond actual belief, there were tears, screams, the lot. From google I understand that cervical excitation is associated with PID but upon a urine sample being dipsticked

Daily Sputum from coughing
Good afternoon everyone, I suffer with severe Bronchiectasis and I use my nebuliser/postural draining daily to bring up Sputum. I use ventolin and saline Nebs to do this. I usually can cough up a sample container full in the morning and then less as the day goes on. When I have an infection coming in

Bronchiectasis
Hi, This is my first post here. Diagnosed with non CF bronchiectasis last year after a five year period of on/off coughing fits and infections. Physio gave me a flutter device which I use faithfully every day. I also have crohn's disease and take immuno-suppressants which may have been the cause of bronchiectasis

Saline nebuliser
Hiya all, I have a nebuliser and the consultant suggested I use it with saline, which I have, but I am never sure how many times a day to use it. Any suggestions?

BFN for me
My FET has resulted in a BFN. I was fully expecting this as I didn't feel within myself it had worked and I had taken two urine tests which came up negative. Hubby had more hope so he is taking this harder. Me and hubby are disappointed however we do have a plan of action which we discussed with the

Hello All. I have been using a Pulmicort inhaler for a couple of weeks (for thickened bronchial tubes resulting in bubbly cough, blocked/runny nose, unable to bring up phlegm - all being diagnosed, had HRCT ‘ blood tests) Just remembered I have a never used nebuliser from Lidl. Could make my own saline
