foods best to avoid : hallo everyone , I view... - Kidney Disease
foods best to avoid
Davita.com has good information on foods, recipes and also a tracker for CKD. You can find recipes also for CKD non dialysis.
You might be a bit premature in looking to avoid foods right now without any diagnosis of anything beyond the Hypertension. With that in mind, you should have been on a low-sodium diet for as long as you've been dealing with high blood pressure. When you get your blood and lab values you'll have a better understanding of what foods to limit. I would suggest that in addition to seeing your PCP if you are told that you have CKD then get a referral to a Renal DIetitian and bring your lab results with you. That person will then guide you based on your needs as to what foods to cut back on.
Thank you for your kind response
NKF also offers a app for recipes; foodcare.com/myfoodcoach/si...
Actually, I took a look at that website and frankly, for me, it was too much info for a little return. DaVita has the meals ready to go and broken down into much simpler and easier to use format than at the NKF site. Possible someone else might like to enter all of that information but I would rather use DaVita. Thanks
Most appreciated.......x
Thank you ......recent tests show 57 dr not referring me ..re test in 3mths .....kinda getting used to the idea my kidneys aren't as good as expected no where as frightened ....regards to all ...
