Varying NDT weekly or on non-consecutive days
Hello all, I am wondering if anyone has experience of, or views about varying my NDT dose. I ask because T4/T3 levels on 2 grains daily appear slightly low yet high on 2.25 grains. I was thinking I might take 2.25 on alternate days or perhaps say, Mon day Tuesday Wednesday each week.

How to dose new prescription T3 with current levo. Please can anyone advise?
Hi I'm not converting well and have been prescribed ERFA NDT by an endo, I not yet ordered and on reflection I have now asked for T3 instead (awaiting reply). I asked for T3 as don't know how much NDT I'd need and can't afford higher doses long term. I also have to have it compounded due to multiple

Advice on labs, high RT3, high SBHG, low T
This is my first real post on this forum. I'd appreciate if experienced members could take a look at my labs and history and let me know what they think. New erfa trial with levo - very worried about endo prescription and pharmacy NDT info. Please can anyone help?
Edit - endo says take ERFA 30mg OD - I don't even know what OD means? Assume every day 30mg but pharmacy are saying its double that I think? Hi I recently consulted an endo which was recommended by local thyroid patients so thought would try rather than go it alone as v ill atm. I've been taking 112mcg

Solution if you can't send tablets from UK to EU
It is allowed to buy and receive NDT tablets to UK via air mail. But not for EU, the customs will reject it, however it is still allowed to bring it with you in luggage if you fly (no need to hide it). You can get returning fly ticket for Easyjet or Ryanair from EU city to London Stansted for around

Sertraline - interactions with thyroid meds?
I’m trying to find out why my FT3 levels have risen alarmingly. This morning, I posted asking whether anyone had any experience of Candersartan affecting FT3. I’ve had two meds added during a recent hospital admission. The first was Candersartan and the second was Sertraline. I stopped the Sertraline

Overmedicated on NDT? How would you know? Is it lab results? Is it how you feel? Or something else?
When using NDT to treat low thyroid hormone levels, how would you know if you are overmedicated? I have read so much information, saying different things. Not sure what is correct. Some say look at lab results - stay within the top part of the range, but don't go over. Some say lab results are not

Can levo cause low FT3?
Hi I am hypothyroid with Hashimoto’s, suspect both for decades but never tested/ treated until 2 years ago. I also took private tests at the same time and whilst my TSH and FT4 were both around 8, my FT3 was optimal. I was put on levo by GP and titrated to 100mcg but last autumn got worse, (also privately

has anyone switched from levo and lio to NDT? I got diagnosed with Hashimoto’s last March and still feel like shite despite doing all the recommended supplementation and T4/T3 by private endocrinologist. He puts all the remaining fatigue, muscle aches, headaches etc. etc. down to long Covid. But I can

Hi everyone ❤️ I feel I need to just pop on today to ask how long will it be until I start to notice a difference in my body on ndt? 31 days today and I'm pleased to report no gastric issues 👏 this is the longest I've ever been on thyroid medication without suffering horrendous side effects, my instructions

Private endo strongly suspects I have PCOS
Hello, I have Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism and am on 162.5 mcg levo and 25 mcg T3. I'm slightly over medicated and trying to lower my dose gradually. Today I saw a private endo for the first time who looked at my fasting insulin (6.6) and said it shows I have insulin resistance. My testosterone is

Feeling low and losing hope
Apologies in advance as this is more of a rant out of sheer frustration! We had egg retrieval this week (day 0) we got 5 eggs Day 1: got call to say 4 fertilised and 1 fertilised abnormally which has been discarded Day 3: 2 appear normal so far and 2 are abnormal/have fragmentation, however they said

QQ Asking for a friend - TSH/FreeTs target on NDT the same as Levo or Levo/T3?
Hi a quick question from me today. I have a friend with hashis on NDT. I’ve stepped lightly as I observe her symptoms just aren’t getting any better, but she puts a lot of faith in her doctors… who say her thyroid panel is “normal.” Hasn’t wanted my opinion and experience, until today. Since I’m on

Does anyone know why, in people using NDT, the TSH readings tend to be very low, even when the T4 and T3 are within normal ranges? My GP is concerned that my low TSH readings mean I am at risk of osteoporosis, but since I am not hyperthyroid I don't understand why. My T4 and T3 are within reference
