Constipation
Hi helpful community. I am on 40 mg or prednisone for CGA, tapering down to 35 in 2 days for 2 weeks. I am suffering from constipation. Is it due to the prednisone or the Calcium supplements (600 mg x 2 per day)? I take Miralax (Restorolax) every couple of days. then I take mineral oil for couple

Why am I afraid to go to the bathroom?
I’ve been dealing with constipation issues for the past year. I can only attribute it to gettin older - never had any problems before that. I won’t go into the details of what I have tried - I’ve taken lots of great hints from videos and forums; a lot of it seems to work - and then it doesn’t.

How to tell if it’s overflow poo?
Hello, We are still experiencing occasional soiling a few weeks after successful disimpaction (we’ve disimpacted successfully in the past also, but every six months or so need to do one again as soiling starts to creep back). He’s nearly 12 and on a maintenance dose of 2 movicol a day, toilet sits

Started MRI Guided SBRT at MSK
After 2.5 years on active surveillance with Dr. Ehdaie at Memorial Sloan Kettering, my cancer progressed to GL 4+3 (Unfavorable Intermediate Risk) and I needed definitive treatment. I opted for MRI guided SBRT with Dr. Sean McBride after getting a second opinion from Dr. Kishan at UCLA. I started

Disimpaction regime
Hi, my 6 year old son has been on Cosmocol and Senna coming up to 2 years. He has 2 daily Cosmocol sachets but for the past month has been having lots of overflow accidents. We decided to follow a disimpaction regime to clear out the old poo and establish how much Cosmocol he needs as a maintenance

3 year old poop withholding journey
My 3 year old daughter has been poop withholding on and off for a year. Lucky she has never had any poop accidents because I would never let her go more than 3 days without a poop- I would put a suppository. She was on senna for 3 weeks and we slowly weened her off until she would poop everyday on her

Inguinal hernia
Hi, I have been diagnosed with IBS-C but also have an inguinal hernia. The pain that I get is right by the hernia site. Has anybody else had similar? The pain is continual at the moment and both Fybogel and Docusate don't seem to have helped despite making my stools somewhat softer ‐ they are still

3 weeks into disimpaction and no elusive rusty tea.
Hello, I started a disimpaction regime for my 3 year old, 21 days ago. After two weeks we added a Senna Stimulant to assist and he has been on 8 sachets along with the Senna now for 3 weeks. Last Sunday he had a huge gravy like BM and I thought we had turned a corner, then back to lumpy (slightly watery

struggling!!
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing ok. I’m hoping that someone will listen to me and offer a bit of empathy. I only have my husband to talk to and he’s good but he really doesn’t get it. I’ve had IBS for many years but was formally diagnosed about ten years ago. For me it can be constipation or diarrhoea

Does anyone have a bad experience taking senna ?
Does anyone else have side effects taking senna? The professionals that I am working with are still working out what is wrong with my digestive system and it is probably a combination of things. An eating disorder being one of them. As a result of the eating disorder l “feel” I need to take 2 senna

6 weeks of impaction
Hi guys, I posted a few weeks ago but things aren’t any better. My 7 year old daughter has now been impacted for 6 weeks. She has been on the max dose of 12 sachets of laxido for over 3 weeks. She was also on the max dose of Senna but the GP has now changed this to Lactulose. The soiling hasn’t changed
