For more than 11 years ive been suffering with extreme itching anywhere on the body, often different parts at the same time, all those years ago i was told by gp to take antihistamines , loratadine in particular, never been even offered a blood test. I have flare ups where nothing controls the itching and its 1 more thing at the mo i could really do without. Anyone got similar and ideas to control it, there's no rash ever either. Im currently ripping my head to feet apart , i do take a few medications which most ive been using longer, as ive osteoarthritis, Sciatica & painful conditions with my spine. Meds, Fentanyl patch, pregabalin Tramadol co codamol & citalopram, as well as senna and loratadine.

Sorry I just saw your post because I was looking for info or experiences of using fentanyl patches…..how did you find them were they helpful?
I wondered how old you are because itching skin can be hormonal I had it after my hysterectomy till I got my hrt balanced but it’s worth a thought as lots of women get it during pregnancy due to hormone changes xx
Evening, thanks for the reply, ive tried a number of different HRT formulations currently the gel i thankyou for getting in touch and the info, my GP puts it down to stress, im not so sure as ive been having antihistamine's daily for it since 2011, i will keep it in mind when my next attack occurs.
regards Carol
I don’t know but can antihistamines block oestrogen as that’s something to look into give how you have been taking them yet they don’t work? Im sure it’s hormones as doctors like to blame everything on stress as it saves them doing anyway blame the patient instead.
I have the Lenzetto spray and also still take my combined pill as I have a progesterone intolerance and the only one I’m ok with doesn’t exist in hrt so I still take my femodette.
They might be some natural solutions as I know friends who had it during pregnancy and tried lots of things to help because it drove them crazy. Sending big hugs xx
