Update on ongoing symptoms
I got a call from my GP, she has requested I have my thyroid down again, T4 and T3 as well as Vitamin D. I’ve had my bloods taken yesterday and was that a chore, the veins were very slow at giving anything despite lots of water taken and my arm being squeezed. They changed arms and veins on slow mo

Supplements to help thyroid
Hello I was just wondering whether what is the best supplements to have with thyroid. Below is what I take now ABC+ Multivitamin from holland and barret Vitamin B complex with B12 holland and barret Magnesium 250mg at night. I heard selenium might help thyroid out too. Is this correct?

Finally receiving treatment - what to expect?
I'm a 36 year old male and I've posted on here a couple of times recently trying to make sense of various blood tests and symptoms. Having had strong suspicions of hypothyroidism for the last 3 years, I've finally found a specialist prepared to offer treat / medicate me. My latest blood tests results

Medichecks result: B12 way too high, TSH suppressed - T4 and T3 somewhere in range? Help please?
Hi all These are my latest Medichecks results, blood test taken first thing in the morning, fasting, no vitamins for a week, previous dose of Levothyroxine morning before. I'm really surprised because I'm not feeling well and these results indicate that I should be? Except for the high Vit B result?

helvella's documents
A list of documents I have assembled which could be of interest or use to thyroid patients. Some document names have recently been changed (albeit just a single character in several cases). And others I have removed for various reasons. [i]

Supplement recommendations refused medication
Hi folks, I saw a private endocrinologist with hopes that I would manage to get medication, unfortunately she has said I do not need to be medicated, I really don’t want to self source that would be my last resort. Just wondering if anyone can recommend any supplements that could help with hair loss,

Should I have my own antibodies tests done while I wait for my endo appointment?
Hello. My endocrinologist simply didn't turn up for my telephone appointment on Wednesday. My next window of opportunity is 19th May - also over the phone. So, tests-wise, these are still my only results from blood taken 9th April: TSH <0.05 [0.3-5.5] pmol T4 34.7 [12-22] T3 14.8 [3.1 - 6] I am still

Tingling feet
I’ve been experiencing tingling feet that feels like a small charge of electricity. It started a week ago. I was on T4 150 mg and T3 20mg but reduced the T3 to 5mg 3 months ago. I was finding the T3 increased my appetite too much and felt hungry all the time! Since the reduction I feel a little more

Things that have helped me
Hello lovely Teal ladies. I’ve not long seen another has gained her Teal wings which saddens me but also made me think if I can help just one of you with something that has helped me, it will be comforting. I was diagnosed with stage 3b High Grade Serous Epithelial Ovarian Cancer in February 2018.

Back on levothyroxine, dose upped
Hi, I've had hypo for a while now and felt a bit better before when I was taking 125mcg synthroid. However my GP got scared back then that the TSH was too low and reduced my dose to 75. Of course this made me feel terrible again. So I tried some NDT but didn't fare too well on the Thai brand, that caused

Please advise on test results. Should I increase Levo?
Hi everyone. I just got a few new tests done and now struggling to understand what to do next. I'm currently on 100mg Levo. The latest results are: TSH 2.05 (0.27 - 4.2) T4 20.7 (12 - 22) T3 4.3 (3.1 - 6.8) For comparison, these were my numbers from January when I was on 50mg: TSH 9.65 (0.27 - 4.2) T4

Thyroid Removal, Settling In
Well I am settling into life without a thyroid here in the UAE, it is a dream to live without pain. :) This week, about ten days after the operation, I woke up with a swollen tongue and could barely move my hands - severe muscle issues. Legs were super tingling. So I upped my dosage from 100 to 125
