Advice on Results Please
Hello, I've been trying to find my sweet spot since starting HRT and discovering I was undermedicated. I've just had my latest test results back although I keep having issues with the blood samples for Medichecks so some tests have been redone and other are missing. Anyone else have issues with this

Iodine Blood Test Result
Hey - I was planning to stop my thyroid medication I never stopped it before and I don't have Hashimoto's or any kind of autoimmune disease, I live in a third-world country so the chances to have Iodine deficiency are higher I'm 23 years old male, I got diagnosed when I was 18 years old, and doctors

Selenium dose timing
when is the best time to take Selenium? I have read (in Root Cause) that it's best taken on an empty stomach in the morning, so used to take just before breakfast, but then I saw recently that it is best taken in the afternoon as needs to be taken far away from levothyroxine. Does it have any

Been very hard to find a suitable multi-vit
I have been here long enough now to realise that I need only very select vits/mins in high quality and the right doses and absolutely do not need a ton of stuff that ordinarily gets put into the std packages eg iodine / iron/E/A/boron /B plus the rest etc etc But as I try to save packaging and costs

What has helped me lately
Hi all, It's been a while, but I wanted to come back and share some things that have been helping with my Hashimoto's lately. I last posted five months ago when I was all over the place with my thyroid med dose, feeling like I was taking too much, so I started taking too little, and had trouble increasing

Dexa scan
I had to have a Dexa scan last Wednesday, arranged by Endocrinologist I’ve only seen once and discharged at conclusion of the appointment. Saw GP yesterday (appt made nearly a month ago after Endo appt) who said I would need medication if osteoporosis identified in scan (as TSH suppressed!). The side

Feedback on private Blood tests please, before my Endo appt..
I posted earlier this month asking for advice before I see my Endo at the end of November. I've not been feeling too great and my Endo put me on Hrt as my levels were all in range and he thinks my symptoms are perimenopausal rather than thyroid. (graves/Rai Oct 21) I feel it's a mixture of both. Hrt

Anagrelid to Interferon and Hashimoto.
I’m seriously thinking of changing from Anagrelid to interferon. I’ve always had heart palpitations from Anagrelide. All doctors to date said no interferon (I have Hashimoto) and no HU ( I have inborn anaemia). When I tried it once, I had nasty neurological side effects. Now I found a new MPN

The importance of zinc for hypothyroid people
Zinc is an important mineral especially for us hypos. When it comes to blood tests, it should be noted these are NOT reliable for determining whether or not you have a deficiency. "Levels of zinc either in plasma or serum are not reliable indicators for establishing a diagnosis of zinc deficiency

low ferritin high transferrin saturation
I am aware my ferritin is in the lower range and has been going downwards. However when I had full iron panel in August my transferrin saturation was just out of range in the upper level. I have read that one thing that can factor this is dehydration so I am trying to up my water intake. But does

Advice before talking to Dr
Hello all, I realise it is Sunday evening but I am seeing the dr in the morning and was hoping for advice on what to say. I spoke to the dr about ongoing symptoms of lack of energy and flu like body aches. She wanted me to have a range of blood tests before choosing a path. All blood tests have come

Hey, it's me again. The girl who's totally unable to tolerate and respond to oral thyroid meds - bizarre immune problem (poss MCAS related). I am in hospital again after reaching out to the only endo still in contact with me who is definitely quite sick of me pushing the issue. He knows I am adamant
