Hello

Apologies for deleting as got very anxious that I’m bothering people

help would be appreciated !

cortisol was at 10.30am

643 - (133 - 537)

My T3 was extremely low at 2.1 before T3 medication and t4 was 20 (12 -22)

T3 medication not taken before test

Result T3 4.3 - (4 - 6.8 )-

test done 13 hours after last dose

T4 125 mcg taken 2 hours before test (advised to do that by clueless gp)

T4 -25 (12 - 22)

Currently on 20mcg T3 and T4 - 125 mcg

Have been on this dose over a month

Night sleep is horrendous . Insomnia has been bad and I’m asleep for 2 hours a night but even that is not proper sleep insane nightmares

I get 3 to 4 kilos water retention during the day and leg swelling

Iron is low I need to work on that

my absorption is terrible stomach has zero peristalsis

I’I’m going to collapse exhaustion today but I take T3 and feel awake - it’s almost immediately

Pituitary mri no tumour

I started 5htp for stomach motility but doesn’t help much with sleep but I take it with food for motility twice a day

I take T3 early now to to start help peristalsis so no sleep but once I take 10mcg I’m wide awake.

Can’t function at all - must be complete exhaustion - emotional nightmare .

this no sleep has been going on since July but past 6 weeks it’s relentless. I can’t sleep during the day as I take T3 -

B12 excellent

Ferritin low 35 - chicken livers today

Zinc selenium all good

Retesting everything re vitamins

Zero peristalsis and absorption motility issues

Im finding it even difficult to type today as so exhausted

I’ve written to endo but they are useless to be honest - I was patted on the head and told all in range to stop bothering them

Plan of action

and will go to have bloods done at 8am??

do I take T3 before and thyroxine?

I’m so confused

Sorry I’m waffling very tired will have to edit to make sense ?

leptin resistance- I think I have that now is that possible? Fat accumulation on legs is dramatic since T3 -

last dose levothyroxine should be 24 hours before test

Which brand of levothyroxine are you currently taking

Which brand of T3

Do you normally split your T3 into 3 smaller doses spread through the day

Approx 10mcg waking, 5mcg mid afternoon and 5mcg bedtime

many people find taking small dose T3 at bedtime improves sleep

It can be helpful to also split levothyroxine as 2 doses, half taken waking and remainder at bedtime

Have you done cortisol and DHEA test

regeneruslabs.com/products/...

cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0...

Ferritin still needs improvement

What are folate and vitamin D results

thank you for your time -

Yes - just got a call from Endocrinologist secretary now - here we go

Message is -

I do not have cortisol issues looking at blood work ( 😞😞🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️) and he doesn’t test leptin resistance and doesn’t suggest I have that leptin resistance problem

I had cortisol and addisons tested - 2019 as my sodium was very low and it cortisol was normal - (low sodium was due to lots laxatives and not enough salt in diet - now rectified )

Teva thyroxine - lactose free

ROMA CAPSULE- 10 x 5 then 5

Vitamin d 96

Folate was good I have to find it

Question-

Does high cortisol slow digestion? My peristalsis is zero .

Also I can get my gp to give me

Form for cortisol I will do it anyway at 8am I don’t trust doctors . They told me for years I have to live with it in bed and have NG feeding tube months ago meanwhile my T3 was 2.1 ! No one checked and gave up or it’s in my head and I’m lazy.

- does T3 raise cortisol but then wouldn’t my T3 be higher?

I was told at last endo appointment not to go higher than 20mcg as I will have heart attack and it’s ‘in range’

Not done DHea -

Back to drawing board

Thank you again sorry my typing is not good I’m totally exhausted physically and emotionally

High or low cortisol often improves on T3

Cortisol not overly high

What time are you taking T3

Have you tried splitting levothyroxine dose….half waking and half at bedtime

Thank you

Try spreading T3 out more

6-7am…..then 3pm …then 10-11pm

after 6-8 weeks on this regime…..retest correctly

then try splitting levothyroxine ….6-7am and 11pm
