Reduced Carb Diet and a Little Weight Loss is Reducing My Blood Lipids and Liver Inflammation Markers
I just thought I'd share my findings, maybe it'll help encourage those struggling with carbohydrate reduction and a change in diet. For the past 6 weeks i have been restricting carbohydrates (to around 100ish grams per day), with the complete elimination of added sucrose or foods containing sucrose as

Should I investigate further?
I am not sure what to make of my CEA test results. It has been hovering between 8-9 for the last 7 months since I started ADT. They have never measured it before so I am not sure if it has anything to do with ADT or not. My MO had me do a colonoscopy 5 months ago and it came back negative for colon cancer

Keto diet - two weeks in
I have spent 2 weeks eating keto way with TRE (only breakfast and lunch, so no food after 4pm) and here are some of my experiences. I was worried about the amount of food I was eating, and my weight loss was not spectacular (1.6kg, and most of it during the first week), but I noticed a few extraordinary

What (may have) helped me conceive?
Hi all, I'm now pregnant (cant believe im writing that!) And I wanted to share some of the things I did and supplements I took whilst TTC. Of course, I can't say whether any of these actually worked or helped but I know that when I was TTC I really appreciated hearing from others what they were doing

Onycholyosis and psoriatic arthritis
I went to my GP yesterday and she had never seen anything in her life like my nails. I suggested I had psoriatic arthritis as I stumbled upon similar photos as I searched google...yes I know....google and all that. Anyway I had onycholyosis last summer on 4 nails which grew out then about 3 weeks ago

Neulasta troubles
Hi Friends. My oncologist added Neulasta to my chemo regimen (Abraxane) because my counts have stayed high enough to have chemo on days one and eight, but then they tank, and I've had to wait a week to get the day 15 dose. It's been consistently that way since the first series. This last time he ordered

FET...it begins all over again!
Hi girls! Wow it’s been ages since I’ve put anything on here or since I’ve even last felt comfortable discussing my IVF/ICSE journey. So in the last 3 years, I’ve gone through a fresh cycle and a frozen cycle, both of which were unsuccessful. Then last year we went through a new fresh cycle but I had

Can PD get better?
A DAT scan shows I have PD. I take Rytary but Dr Google suggests other meds might help. So I also take cinnamon, phosphatidyl serine, Super B-complex, Vitamin D, Green tea capsules, fish oil, a statin, CoQ10, baby aspirin, miralax, dulcolax, tylenol and melatonin. Some of these are for PD

Oméga 3 oils
Hi ladies, I watched Seaspiracy this evening regarding the fishing industry and I’ve been taking fish oils daily. I would now like to seek an alternative as the documentary suggested the goodness in the omega 3 is countered by the lead and other toxins that get into the chain. Does anyone know of any

5 Books That Have Helped Me
Here are 5 books that have helped me navigate my way through afib as a “lifestyler”, as I manage and reduce (and hopefully someday eliminate) my afib through lifestyle changes. There are of course many other books and resources out there for us. I hope other people here will add their own favorites.

Just an update....
I bought myself a lovely new oil burner. I've got lots of essential oils and am trying different ways to relax. I have been watching video clips today of Yoga for the wheelchair bound. Really informative and I think I've found a good lady to help me get started. So I'll let you know how I get on, should

Remedies for Parkinson's constipation
This subject comes up a lot, so I figured it would be useful to post our collective wisdom in one place as a reference. As usual – what works for one may not work for another. So members of our club are invited to also post your remedies in the comments.
