Assessment tomorrow morning
I've got my autism assessment tomorrow morning and my mum has her part about me on a separate day this week. I'm so so scared and nervous and just don't like the unknown. But also I'm not sure how I want the result to go. Because if I am it's for life with no treatment or suport really But if I'm not

Am about to be prescribed transdermal oestrogen and progesterone tablets. I am 56 y with much crabbines and fatigue. Have also just discovered that I may have Hashimotot's (see my post). How will HRT affect things? Do I not go ahead with it? Thanks.

After ADT
Dear fellows, see my post "Adjuvant ADT". My question there was what to expect after completion of 24 months of ADT (22 june 2023). Now we are six weeks later and first results are in. PSA remained <0.1, whereas my T. rose from <0.4 to 0.9. Coming thursday I am seeing my oncologist/radiotherapist. Is

Uric Acid [UA] & PCa Mortality
I once had a gouty foot. It was self-induced - I was having a brief but intense craving for high-purine foods, particularly anchovies. (Perhaps PCa was driving the craving - lol.) At some point I looked at the PCa / Uric Acid [UA] literature (more than I expected), but it was mixed & failed to impress

SIB/Flame Protocol
The RO recommends Simultaneous Integrated Boost (SIB) as part of my treatment. PSA was 19.76 (4/2023), then 21.78 (5/2023 to confirm initial PSA). He is concerned that the PSA does not match the Gleason score (4+3, grade 3) as PSA has surpassed 20. Multiplanar MRI and PSMA PET indicated no metastasis

Update on my daddy- 8 years stage four
Hello guys! I wanted to give a little update on my dad. He was diagnosed stage four prostate cancer in June 2015, with a PSA of 257 and a single lymph node involved. His prostate was so enlarged at the time that he had to have double nephrostomy bags. He started hormone therapy and chemo immediately

Latest test results
Hi, Slow Dragon kindly suggested I submit my latest test results , given that I continue with episodic fatigue. ( also heat/sweats). I’ve had a number of blood tests over the past 6 months all apparently normal but of course only TSH tested in respect of my diagnosis of hypothyroidism, prescribed currently

IBRT/SBRT Radiation and ADT
I have heard so many horrifying things here about adverse reactions to those who were prescribed ADT in conjunction with or shortly after radiation treatment. Has anyone forgone taking ADT therapy or does that ruin any progress made from radiation? I have read there is no evidence ADT actually improves

Heart-healthy foods.
New study [1]. It's well-known that men with PCa have a higher risk for cardiovascular disease. Even before ADT. Mark Moyad coined the phrase "heart-healthy is prostate healthy" and I think he is correct. The American "food pyramid" is a disaster imo, with grains at the bottom & fats at the

SHBG test through Medichecks?
I'm set with an appointment with a menopause clinic in a couple of weeks for an HRT consult and noticed that their charges for some of the tests were quite a bit higher than Medichecks, and they are running a 20% off sale that ends tonight. I've had my thyroid tests done with them already, so I believe

Treatment after Zoladex/Prostrap
I’m due to go back to the consultant next week and I’m just wondering what your experiences were a) coming off Zoladex/prostrap and b) what treatment options are next. For context I have been on the injections for 11 months now, and HRT for the past 5 months. I know everyone’s experiences have been different

I went to the neph doctor for the 1st time...ugh...a couple of questions
She said I have stage 3a chronic kidney disease...The only thing she based it off of was egfr...I am not sure if other things need to be considered? She is sending me for a ultrasound and said to come back in 6 months and didnt seem very informative or concerned...Is this normal? How often would

3 Months post ADT (Orgovyx) Still having hot flashes and fatigue-doing blood test in two weeks..for hopefully nadir..
Stopped taking Orgovyx May 30th .... August 30th will be my 90 day blood test I presume to see if my Testosterone is BACK TO NORMAL (I hope) and my PSA is less than .o2 ?? I understand that the Testosterone back to NORMAL is more possible in the short term (90 days) than longer term use of adt? Is

Ozempic-Anti Cancer?
I'm 10-15 pounds above ideal weight, not on any form of ADT. Since cancer feeds on sugar, does it make sense to use Ozempic to reduce blood sugar to presumably starve the cancer?

GnRH analogues
Hi all, I am due to be starting injectable GnRH analogues soon alongside a HRT, dose anyone have any advice/ guidance on them and their side effects and management? In the past I have had Nafarelin (Synarel). The plan is to have these before surgery as NHS wait is 50 weeks where I am. Thanks

Intraductal Carcinoma & Cribiform pattern 4 treatment options?
Newly dx. PCa. with Intraductal carcinoma, IDC-P. This is the most aggressive prostate cancer type. In my case 4+3 with 70% pattern 4 with cribriform which make it even more worse. There are four types of pattern 4 (poorly formed glands, glomeruloid structures, cribriform glands, and fused glands) and
