My current problem is blocked nose, I have a prescribed steroid spray Beconase and anti histamine tablets which help a bit, plus a saline spray. Could anyone advise me what to do next? Kathy

So far I am using a saline spray, neti pot, tea and honey, hot showers and Tylenol for a whopping headache, also using a vaporizer at night. It is worse in the morning. I just started augmentinin. I hav fluticasone propionate nasal spray but not real happy about using it. I have passed so far.

Thank u everyone for ur kind words really helps not well today been docs now for saline nebs as well as the normal , antibiotics and rest and fluid if get any worse call ambulance and no not happy about the operation was really hoping I would be better but now I can hardly walk with out getting breathless

Hi all hope u all doing ok me just got back from the docs  Said my chest is gurgling I got to rest for few weeks thinks the asthma and the weather is activating the lungs he has give me some saline to put into my machine to dampen the lungs and some antibiotics to keep up to me if I start them now or

This morning I have gone back to just using a saline nasal spray,  (in my nose) and guess what? It feels a bit better already!  ???! Feeling confused and exasperated 😟😵 Oh well I hope that this may help someone else with simular problems. 

And did it work.been told saline and steroid injection given at the same time. But I can only have the saline.thanks for any advice

My children are on Hypertonic saline solution in nebulizer daily, physio, and azithromycin 3 times a week. However, they continue to get bad chest infections and most times it takes 2 or 3 weeks of Augmentin DUO to get them better again. And they always have a really bad runny nose and wet cough.

I had to practically beg for a nebuliser, and when they brought it they only wanted to give me saline. I threw a (very weak, very quiet) tantrum until they gave me salbutamol, but that took nearly 2 hours of continuing respiratory distress on my part.

I bargained with the OOH doc but he wasn't comfortable prescribing me Flix on top of my (already maximum dose) Seretide as that is a decision to make with the resp consultant later on in the month, so I'm on Prednisolone at 25mg/day for a few days and then taper down again, doxycycline, and saline nebs
