Baby cough
My LG has got a cold and cough, her cough is horrible, dry and starting to sound chesty. Giving her cough medicine, but I don’t know if it’s doing anything. When should I see GP, just worried as Christmas next week and don’t want it too get worse

Asthma and colds
I have spent the last couple of months trying to get my asthma and asthma cough under control. I am finically feeling like I’m winning and I am given my flu Jab and now have a cold! My airways are narrow and full of mucus and this morning I could hardly get air in. I was so scared. I am waiting for

Palliative Care..
Hi all my lovely Mum with CBD (10th year) has been 4 weeks in hospital. She was initially admitted with abdominal blockage, then urine infection, then aspiration pneumonia. During the throes of awful pneumonia she lost her already weak ability to swallow. We were told it wouldn't be humane to put a PEG

This Inexpensive Action Lowers Hospital Infections And Protects Against Flu Season
As we are now well into the flu & cold season, this article seems appropriate for those of us with more (or less) compromised immune systems. [i](And, yes, I have had my annual flu shot.) Worst flu ever!
Can I ask you good people for some advice? I haven’t had an actual flu for years but now in spite of getting the flu and pneumonia jabs, I’ve come down with the worst flu I’ve ever had. I was minding my young granddaughter who was really under the weather and now I seem to have caught the virus. I’ve

Flu
Here goes!I have severe COPD and I had a flu jab approx. 1 month ago. About 10 days after that I felt I was going down with an infection and I used my rescue pack - Amoxycillin and Preds. I felt functional, although poorly, whilst taking the steroids but the day I finished them was devastating. I could

Constant cough
Hello, just wondering if anyone can help. My dad hasn’t been unwell (as in cold or flu etc) but for the past few weeks he’s had a constant niggly cough. I’m just wondering if this is a symptom of PSP and if so, is there anything that can be done to help relieve it? He’s getting very irritated by it and

The Flu
Morning all, since completing week 6 last Saturday I have been laid up with the flu. I’m just starting to feel better now, can you advise when to get back out there and where shall I pick from, I feel I would struggle doing anything like 25 minutes so maybe drop back a week or 2? I’m gutted as I was

Rise in flu deaths and patients admitted to hospital triggers government alert to GPs.
The good news is: “The initial evidence suggests the vaccine is a good match for the main strain of flu that is circulating.”

Not been running.... : (
So, did some regular running thoughtout November... dodging torrential rain here in Portugal... which made it somewhat sporadic. Then just as the weather gets better I get a chesty cold, so no running for the last 12 days, and guess what... I feel better, but it's pelting down out there (again)...

Heart Failure concerns
Hi all, I'm concerned I may have heart failure. I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AF almost 12 months ago and am due to go for a check up at Cardiology in 6 weeks. As I understand AF most people seem to feel fine in between bouts of AF, whereas I feel tired, have a bloated belly, persistent slight cough

Cold weather/exercise advise please!
Hi everyone! I have eosinophilic asthma, not exercise induced asthma...BUT...this is my first winter exercising with asthma in the cold and with the dip in temperature I seem to have developed a cough which I think the cold air is triggering! One of those annoying coughs that comes on when you laugh
