HRT and RLS
Hi, I just saw a reply on a post where Sue talked about HRT being a possible trigger. Are there any safe options? I am currently on Femeton and have just been put on a higher dose because of menopause symptoms. I’m wondering now if this is part of the problem. I would probably be suicidal if I

Starting B12 injections
Hi I am hypothyroid, on Armour Thyroid but still dog tired all the time. I’m on HRT and I have horrible peripheral neuropathy in my feet and lower legs. I can’t walk well or for long at all. My gait feels really off. I’m stiff and have no muscular strength in my legs anymore so crouching down is impossible

I am 69 and just over 2 years since the operation and wondering if anyone has or knows of experience in returning to sprinting after a THR ? I have just over a year before going into the 70-74 age group and potentially

Incontinence - A major problem
I have had Parkinson's since the spring of 2014. I had my first major fall (any fall that requires a trip to the ER) in Oct. of 2018, and I have gone downhill since that night. The Parkinson's symptom that's keeping me from leading a normal life is a freezing gait, although I do have overall tightness

Update on...Buprenorphine seems to be failing! Help!
Well, thank you for all the replies and the wisdom which has been offered. I saw my GP yesterday and explained the situation, told him of the solutions others had found (Lotte) and then asked him what his advice was. He thought about it and offered taking Sifrol as a first solution which I told him I'd

HRT & RA experiences
hi, I’m wondering if there are others who have experience of RA improvement with HRT. My RA is relatively well managed.. one year in.. have a love / hate relationship with methotrexate (many other posts on this!), but am generally tolerating it better. I am having noticeable flares when I ovulate

A question for anyone who built a red light therapy helmet/hat.
Hello. I’m interested in building a red light therapy hat. But I’m having trouble finding a source for 670nm and 810nm led strips. I was wondering if anyone who has built a hat using these specific wavelengths could share a link to where they purchased them. Thank you.

Osteoporosis meds
I've been on coumadin for almost 11 years for a heart valve replacement and Orgovyx for about 2 years and three months for metastatic prostate cancer. I just had my first bone scan in August 2022 and a second Dec. 8, 20203, and bone less is progressing. I've been using estradiol patches for about 10

Attended Late Effects Clinic - Answers at last
Yesterday I received the news that my two year post op checkup for Stage 3b cancer was still clear and led nicely to being seen at the clinic in Clatterbridge today. It was so nice for a specialist to be listening, explaining what the probable cause was and then offering solutions where possible.

Had my REMS scan today
Excellent session and good news - REMS shows that I don’t have osteoporosis even though DXA says I did! I am osteopenic which is what I suspected and why I wanted the scan. Advice was to manage with diet and exercise which I am all in favour of and no intention of ever going on the drugs. Dr was very

"Your thyroid's fine"...what do you think?
Hi. I've been told by a GP that my thyroid is fine. I don't think it is. I'd be grateful for your opinions. Like many others here, I'm fed up with Dr.s saying it's my age, the menopause, or there's nothing wrong. Medichecks results: May 23 Thyroglobulin Antibodies: 423.000 kIU/L (Range: <115

“Old” hip hurting with PMR more than “new” hip?
Hello All. Apologies for bothering you with this but I am lucky enough to have got an appointment with the wonderful Professor Rod Hughes tomorrow and am compiling a list of things I would like to discuss with him. Hope he is well and in a good mood! One of the issues is that I had a right hip replacement
