Pain 4 weeks after oophorectomy
Hello all, I'm just posting in the hopes that someone else has also experienced something similar and that I'm not alone! A quick timeline of my endo journey for background: -Diagnosed in October 2017 after 8 years of suffering at the age of 23. I also had an ovary that had burst due to a very large

Afinitor side effects
I have been in treatment for breast cancer since 2006 and have done the drill - lumpectomy, lymph nodes removal, chemo, radiation, herceptin, Arimidex for six years… then in 2019 a mastectomy, more hormone blockers, and three years of various combinations with Ibrance, which has sadly stopped working

Radiation after Radical Prostatectomy with Lymph Node Removal in Non Metastatic and Metastatic Men. Need some answers.
For anyone following this post, just asking for clarity on the differences and to share your individual experiences. I had a radical prostatectomy with lymph node removal only 8, negative for pca. But, found with positive EPE margins, bladder wall, and microscopic bladder neck. A RO mentioned radiation

Hi, I had both my ovaries and tubes removed 3 weeks ago due to ovarian cyst and significant problems due to endometriosis.I've started to bleeding again 3 weeks later. Has anyone else had this? Is this normal ?

Vault granulomatous Polyp
Hi everyone Thank you in advance for reading my post. As with most of us my journey has been very difficult. Following a Bilateral Salpingo Oophorectomy last March, which my then consultant (not a endometriosis specialist but I was still very naive about Endo) advised would “cure” my endometriosis

Lymphadenectomy with HDR Brachy mono?
To limit late radiation toxicities and better preserve erectile function, is it possible to have lymph nodes removed surgically instead of having the beam therapy that comes with HDR Brachyboost? Would the recurrence risk be reduced by the same degree with HDR mono plus lymphadenectomy as it would

Worst 2 months of my life
I’m heading for my second FET tomorrow. My first ended in an ovarian ectopic in February (which apparently is very rare so trust it to happen to me) I was very unwell with it and got rushed to hospital for surgery, resulting in a partial ovary removal. I’m lucky that I have recovered ok and continued

Unable to obtain MRI either NHS or through
I was watching a breaking news on SKY international channel. Rod Steward. the rock star who has been bitterly complaining of not being able to get MRI scan although he is adamant that he id prepared to pay any amount. Obviously he was advised by medics either his own G>P> or specialist. I had encountered

Seromucinous borderline ovarian tumour
Hi everyone, thanks for the nice support here in this forum. It has helped me so much. Following my laparotomy surgery last month (total hysterectomy, oophorectomy, appendectomy and omentum biopsy) I got the all clear. My frozen section and final pathology were both seromucinous borderline ovarian

Return after ovary removal?
10 years ago I had my ovaries removed after suffering from endo for several years. My quality of life improved immensely and I’ve been pretty much pain free since. I am on Kliovance HRT (1mg) and had the mirena coil fitted which is now 5 yrs old. I effectively had a medical menopause. When I had surgery

S1 E2 - When Surgical Menopause Wreaks Havoc on Sex Life and Mental Health
There are different sets of challenges when you’re originally diagnosed under 40. One of those challenges is how being surgically induced into menopause rather than nature taking its course affects the mind and sex life. That’s what guest Rachel Walker, an invasive ductal (IDC) survivor, discusses in

Stage 4 endo diagnosed with emergency laparoscopy. Zoladex prescribed for 6m with follow up surgery after that. Seeking advice.
Hi everyone! I just stumbled across this website again and thought it may be a good place to seek advice from others who may have gone through similar events. So my story is a bit of an odd one. I’m 29 years old and I had always had heavier periods that were more on the painful side. But I was able

Moving on...to olaparib
I recently updated to ask about chemo options, mainly cabazitaxel with or without carboplatin, or a second round of docetaxel, this time with carboplatin. I had been discussing these with my Mayo doctors, Kwon and Orme. Then earlier this week, Dr. Orme phoned me to report that after another genetic

Fast forward a relatively easy time of periods but on/off PMS with an undiagnosed progesterone intolerant body I am now perimenopausal at 47 years of age in health dire straits. I started on Evorel Sequi, changed

Zoladex, lupron, oophprectomy or…?
I tired Zoladex this last summer. It was torturous. My Onc said it would be a monthly shot. I got it. When I got home and looked at the chart notes from the nurse who administered it, it turns out they gave me the 3 month shot. overnight it was like all the anxiety I’d ever experienced in my life was

results- helped needed to understand what I could maximise please 🙏
I’ve posted a lot of results here as I don’t know what you would need for a clear understanding. Sorry I’m new here and have been in surgical menopause ages 37 so I’m trying to keep and eye on my health since then and adding back HRT I’ll try and add the extra results from bloods in comments?? Xx

Cancelled cycle
Hi everyone, just wanted to see if anyone had experienced a cycle cancellation due to the risk of OHSS. After 8 days of stimulation, I've been told that my cycle had to be cancelled as too many follicles have been developing (29 were seen on the scan) and my estrogen levels were way too high (3,500
