Total hysterectomy with BSO
Hi. I’m due to go in for this op very soon due to uterine masses. After my MRI results being discussed at the gynaecologist oncology MDM the oncologist has said that they are likely to be benign fibroids but they are unable to exclude uterine sarcoma. I haven’t entered into menopause yet therefore will

Total hysterectomy with BSO
Hi, I’m about to go in for this op due to Uterine masses, which they say are likely benign fibroids but cannot exclude uterine sarcoma. I have not gone through the menopause yet, therefore will go through surgical menopause. This frightens me a bit and was just wondering if anyone else has gone through

Hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy at 28?
Has anyone else had this procedure at 28 at all or any age? If so what was your experience of this? I think I want one and my gynae has told me to research and think about it thoroughly before my next appointment in 3 months. Im hoping some real life experiences may assist my research of the studies

PBC and Cholesterol
I am newly diagnosed (June, 2018) with PBC. My liver enzymes were through the roof (800+). I had a emergency gallbladder removal in May- but symptoms did not resolve - hence further testing and diagnosis of PBC. My cholesterol is insanely high - almost 600. My doc told me that I cannot take cholesterol

Oophorectomy-how did people manage after having this?
Hi just looking for some opinions for research for myself. I've been advised by gynaecologist I've got 3 options, the prostap injections (which I've had previously and only offer a break from symptoms not stopping them), removal of the lining of the womb (which will help with the amount of bleeding but

Starting again
Hello all! After a few weeks of self-pity, paranoia and injury, I went out this morning and did W1R1 again. I’m on the list for gallbladder removal but the surgeon I spoke to encouraged exercise and more weight loss before surgery, which could be six months away. Glad I made the effort, and pleased that

Connection between coeliac and gallstones?
Hi, I've been posting on the Restless Leg Syndrome forum, asking if anyone has experienced wheat making their RLS worse. In the course of this I had an American user saying that her coeliac disease had been brought on by gallbladder removal, which I'd never heard of. When I queried this she gave me some

Hi all, phew so glad this forum exists - people that really understand this condition and its effects. So, I had my 5th laparoscopy and polyp removal 3 months ago and after ongoing issues of constipation, fatigue and pain I thought things just weren't right. I went to see my consultant last night (I

Endo post hysterectomy or ovaries removal
Hello all. I'm new to the forum but a sufferer for oh so many years now. My question is this. Even though each case is as unique as it can be, has anyone here had a hysterectomy or removed ovaries and tubes to tell me of their post op adventures? Was the endo eliminated?

Buserelin : How long until it works?
I'm in week 3 of my, pre oophorectomy, 3 month stint and so far, though I've had no side effects, I've also not noticed any relief at all. I've been scouring the internet for information but I can't find out how long the drug takes to kick in. The leaflet is next to useless and I don't want to have to

ICSI success
Never thought we'd get this far, but goes to show it is possible! 8 months pregnant now, and I'm so lucky and grateful. Just 2 frozen blastos from a mega batch egg collection. The first failed, and the second one took. Maybe my polyp removal helped, or maybe it was just a stronger egg, who knows. The

pain from underarm incision
Three weeks ago I had a partial mastectomy, oncoplastic surgery to reconstruct that breast and lymph node removal. I'm experiencing a fair amount of pain in the underarm incision. Also experiencing a sort of zapping pain in the breast, which people say is nerve regeneration (?). Can anyone help with

Hi I have been reading this site for such a long time and today, whilst I relax on a sunbed in Greece, I read something that made me post. I feel like I have lived with pain for such a long time. I have so much anger inside me! 10 years ago my periods became extremely painful. For 8 years, after countless

Well that was a surprise - hydration
Had cardiac review a week past Friday, and as I had haematology the following Wednesday asked for the blood test for that be done at same time. Cardiac review required a fasting blood test. Got result, HCT of 0.46 so booked a venesection an hour before my haematologist appointment. In the meantime

Wondering if I need to up my ERFA dose after surgery?
I had surgery nearly 3 weeks ago under GA for removal go ovarian cyst and a cervical polypectomy. I've recovered from the affects of the GA and my surgical wounds have healed, but I'm not feeling great. Tired and gaining weight very easily. I'm currently taking Erfa Thyroid. I take 90mg in the morning
