Does anyone have any experience getting orgovyx approved off-label for intermediate prostate cancer? I am a Kaiser patient. Thanks.

Orgovyx & Xtandi
One MO at Moffitt has suggested that I avoid due to moderate interaction causing an increase in
relugolix
in your body. Brief info on where I am. PSMA-PET 11/22/22, metastatic spots 2 ribs, 3 vertebrae, numerous lymph nodes from neck to pelvis. 12/27/22 Total PSA 7.3, free PSA 3.9.

On the Possible Advantages & Dangers of Making Certain Dosing Decisions
According to Pylarify PSMA scan at beginning of 2022, I am mCSPC (lymph nodes only, but beyond oligo), and am now on the oral ADT antagonist
Relugolix
(Orgovyx) and Apalutamide, both of which my oncologist recommends that I stay on for as long as they work for me.

Relugolix
I'm interested in hearing about personal experiences using
Relugolix
, and how the severity of its side effects compares with side effects of Lupron.

My last surgery was a year ago but it be pain over the last few months has been so bad. Before another survey, she has suggested this drug however I am nervous

Overwhelming hot flashes. Orgovyx/Relugolix
A year after the shot, I went on Orgovyx/
Relugolix
pills instead of Lupron which seemed much better in all categories of the affects. I've been on it now for a year and a half. My Dr had told me that for most people, the hot flashes decline after a year.

On path for an MRI-guided SBRT
I am considering adding ADT with the radiation - I can get Orgovyx (
Relugolix
) in German for about 250$ per month. GoodRX says it is more than $2,500 per month in the U.S. ... Orgovyx just got approved in the EU in October 2022.

Failing nubequa mono therapy
Thinking of adding
relugolix
to Nubeua because it’s more effective than Lipton or just start
relugolix
for one month followed by one month of Lipton to see if it’s still effective thus saving relugollix if Lipton fails. Will see med onc this Friday.

Orgovyx in the UK
One issue I discussed was potential use of Orgovyx (
Relugolix
) with Enzalutamide instead of Firmagon / Enzalutamide combo I have been on for 2 years. I know it’s used around the world & approved by FDA & taken by many of you guys.

recurrence - the road is about to get rocky again
The medical oncologist has ordered
Relugolix
($875/month for a lifetime! we're negotiating that). The Radiology Oncologist ordered an Axumin PET scan. I haven't talked to Medicare about that one yet. I'll post updates. (please pray for us)

LUPRON vs FIRMAGON: Is The Debate About Superiority Over? With the December FDA approval of Relugolix the debate may now be moot
Executive summary: All comparisons favored
relugolix
over leuprolide. * At day 4
relugolix
achieved castrate T level in 56.0% of men compared to Lupron, 0%. At day 4 the T level was 38 ng/dL for
relugolix
. Lupron produced a ‘surge” to 625 ng/mL day 4 then dropped to castrate level by day 6.

Testosterone “Flare” (Or Testosterone?) Timing to Optimize Salvage Radiation Therapy
Note that the LHRH antagonists degarelix and
relugolix
do not have the androgen flare. The article referenced is worth careful consideration by anyone here contemplating salvage radiation therapy to prostate, pelvic node fields and or oligometastatic SBRT.

My experience with Orgovyx / Relugolix
For men out there getting ready to start ADT, or having difficulty with their current ADT medication, I thought I would share my recent experience with 6 months of Orgovyx. I was diagnosed in April with 3+4 GG2 PCa, but was considered unfavorable intermediate risk due to amount of cancer found (7/13
