Low Stomach Acid
hi again, I am still trying to get my Levothyroxine increased with my doctor after previous posts. In the meantime I have tried the Bicarb test for 5 days continuously and did not burp at all! I guess that is a reasonable guide to tell me that I have low stomach acid due to being undermedicated. Has

Gut Health/ Gut Healing
Hi all, I feel like this might be the next step in my healing journey so would be keen to hear thoughts. What are the different protocols you have tried to correct 'leaky gut', gut dysbiosis and gut infections? Beyond the elimination diets, gluten free, paleo etc. Has anyone found the following helpful

Betaine HCl (hydrochloric acid) for autoimmune atrophic gastritis low acid pain (have PA as well)
Happy Sunday to you... I was wondering if any of you use or have used Betaine HCl (with pepsin) for low acid stomach pain and discomfort. I have tried all the acid reducers per gastro doc which didn't work well or not at all for me, and my stomach continued to get worse. While researching I learned

Bolt's Methylene Blue Update 6/24
As of 6/21 I am taking a break from MB. I started at 5 mg 4/29, went to 10 mg 5/8, and my REM Sleep Behavior Disorder has been way worse as of 6/16. I had also started Betaine 6/12 so I stopped that also on 6/20. I don't know if MB is the issue. I was a bit hesitant to start MB only because I was doing

Update
Hi everyone, I hope you've all been well, and have been enjoying the lovely weather we've been having lately. Firstly, I just wanted to say the biggest thank you for all of the supportive words that were left on my last post. I know that I've already made quite a few like them in the past, but the kindness

Is Propranolol Safe for Hypos.
Hi I've just come back from seeing my GP about my continuing dizzy, unbalanced feeling. As well, as checking for neck instability, I'm very hypermobile and have EDS. So am off for a neck x Ray. A shame they couldn't have included it in last week's brain MRI lol. I mentioned to the doctor about whether

"A change in diet may reduce risk of lethal prostate cancer" Your thoughts on the study results below?
What do you all think of these findings, particularly regarding the foods listed? Some of them are known to be heathy, such as: fish, beans, nuts, pulses, spinach and beets! Also - What if you already have aggressive prostate cancer, then does eating the less lethal food, mentioned below, become less

GERD And Acid Reflux And What We Can Do About It
As it turns out, GERD is 4 times more likely to occur in PwP, surprise. As if PwP need another surprise health issue ! What Is GERD? GERD or GastroEsophageal Reflux Disease is what happens when the Sphincter at the base of the esophagus that connects the mouth to the stomach, no longer closes tightly

Betaine and Pepsin- does it work? No response to treatment
Hello All, Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Day. I managed to eat a little of what I normally can’t eat. I paid for it 😂 I wanted to ask if anyone has tried Betaine and Pepsin and what was the result? Did anyone’s reflux and any other symptoms such as cramps, stomach pains, etc eased or disappeared

Does betaine hcl help?
I really want to improve my digestion. Lately I have tried betaine hcl with no success. When taking a pill after lunch, I get very anxious and have a slight pain in my stomach. Why do you think this happens? What were your results with betaine hcl?

Betaine with pepsin or PPI?
So I was diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia and GERD ( Barretts) on Friday after getting a scope. The gastroenterologist wants me to start taking PPI medication to reduce acid. My research leads me to believe that us hashi sufferers more than likely suffer from low stomach acid. Im thinking of ignoring his
