Looking for encouragement
It’s been a tough month. Toward the end of the Oregon fires and smoke I started having digestive issues, bloating, then within days I looked 5 months pregnant. When I went in for my appt last Friday they took one look, said “jaundice” and admitted me to the hospital. That evening I had 1 and 1/2 liters

I was feeling okay.. until..
Hi all I just need to moan really so sorry 😔 . It’s taken me a while to start feeling more like myself since a&e, admission and then stent. The last few days I was starting to feel a bit better, less weird pains maybe just a couple of pinching pains a day, a bit more energy than last week etc, so

I do not know if others have experienced this or not. I was suffering from ectopic heart beats after I had a stent fitted. So I started to take Magnesium Taurate and initially there was a difference. My partner who is 52 has just started palliative chemo for this and they have told him it’s not curable but hopefully treatable, he’s very positive in himself and feels clinically well, he has had a stent fitted and

Post op pain after stent
Hi guys, just joined the site. Iv had 2 stents inserted in my main artery 10 days ago. I still have pain in my back and arm, plus a bit of breathlessness like before. The doc said I'd 90% blockage and he needed to do a lot to get stents in. I never had heart spray or heart pain meds as I was diagnosed

Thank you to everyone who wished me well today. All went well bit of calcification but don't need another stent. So time for a whisky 😇😎

Uncertain still as to when I should worry
So I had my stent in March all other arteries fine except left circumflex which has a moderate blockage (around 60%) deemed insignificant with FFR wire study and I’ve been doing everything right... stopped smoking taking regular meds eating healthy excercising. Quite a lot of people I’ve noticed say

Life insurance
Hi my husband had a heart attack In December 2018. He had a stent fitted. We are in the process of buying a house and I was wondering if anyone on here had successfully obtained life insurance. If not did you manage to get any other insurances to protect your home financially. Tia

Hi, New today
Hi all, I'm a 60 year old women, had a stent fitted about 6 weeks ago. I have never smoked, drink moderately and hardly anything now and eat a reasonably good diet. They say my problem is genetic. I had been doing regular exercise and strength training before I returned to my manual job last week, but

I'm new here....
Just turned 69 and on Wednesday 16th September I had a heart attack at home . I knew what was happening so rang for an ambulance immediately. Have never been so scared in my life but as I was alone tried to be brave. Went to hospital on blue lights and received a stent in the main artery. On Friday

Possible surgery
My husband had HA last November, STEMI, 1 stent fitted to RCA. Told his LAD is ‘diffusely diseased’ and could not be stented so decided to treat with meds. Ticagrelor starting today
Hello I’m new to this group. I’ve had a stent fitted one week ago after only discovering I had heart disease 4 weeks ago. The stent was fitted in my left LAD Artery. I was put on Clopidogrel and after 5 days I developed a severe rash. The consultant has now changed me onto Ticagrelor which I just started

From stent to surgery
You may have seen my previous post but to recap, mum had a heart attack on Wednesday morning. She had a couple of stents put in to a blockage and went for another angiogram today. Unfortunately there is a calcium and fat buildup which is not suitable for stenting. She has been told she will have to

How did my dad get so sick so fast? Treatment emergent metastatic small cell cancer of the prostate.
Hi everyone. Unfortunately, our world has been turned upside down. My father has recurrent prostate cancer that seemed to be well controlled with ADT, but in fact had mutated into Small Cell Carcinoma of the Prostate. He has gotten so sick, so quickly, and we're not sure exactky why. We are concerned

Flu jab post stent
Hi all. I have a flu jab every year due to my type 1 diabetes as I’m higher risk with flu. The first drive through flu clinic at my gp surgery is in a couple of weeks. how long after a stent is it safe to have the flu jab? Would it be detrimental to my seemingly slow recovery? I’m still bruised from
