Hi my husband had a heart attack In December 2018. He had a stent fitted. We are in the process of buying a house and I was wondering if anyone on here had successfully obtained life insurance. If not did you manage to get any other insurances to protect your home financially. Tia

Life insurance
I first had angina in January 2011 aged 52. Stent fitted to LAD in early March. Since then I have taken out life insurance policies with Vitality Life. These are joint policies with my wife and the cost of my cover is loaded to take account of my history. My broker was able to illustrate the extra and surprisingly it was not a huge amount. Fairly detailed questionnaire but that’s to be expected.
Hmm, may give them a ring. Initial quotes were about £10/month for 300k term insurance with a number of providers. Then I told them about my heart attacks, and then they wouldn't even touch me. Got through to a couple of other brokers who specialise in people with our types of issues, and the cheapest quote was £170/month.
Sadly I had the same experience as the voice trying to get life insurance after my heart bypass. Either a flat out no or a very high premium.
Thank you to you both for your advice and knowledge. I’m pleased to say I have managed to find life insurance for him through The life surgery broker with Zurich. Stay safe all
