Risk of stroke after stent
Following HA in 2020, due to blocked RCA, Cardio interventionists tried to insert stent in 2020 but this procedure was unsuccessful. However, two cardio interventionists (at the same time) are going to try again early next year. The procedural risk includes 1:100 chance of a stroke. Generally, my condition

PAD after Pmr
Hi, I just wanted to share what's going on as I've been so worried and upset. I know I've no right to be, I'm fine compared with many of you, but...So I've nearly come to the end of my Pmr...although I don't like saying it in case I jinx it and it flares! I'm on .0.5 pred, and feel fine apart from being

Father not waking up after septic shock
My beloved Dad (72) survived a severe septic shock. They called us 3 Weeks ago after a routine bile surgery and told us that he is now in the ICU. They told us he had internal bleeding and they needed to perform surgery on him. We were shocked and prayed that night that everything would go well. He survived

PSMA scan results just arrived but interpreting them is difficult and no Onc telmed available until next week. Orgovyx failed two months ago
Any idea what this means or suggestions? Study Result Impression 1. Previous prostatectomy with no F-18 PSMA evidence of local recurrence or 2. Two F-18 PSMA avid presumed bone metastases, one in the right posterior third rib and the other in the left anterior T4 vertebral body. 3. No other F-18

Angiogram vs Angioplasty
I have had 6 stents and triple bypass. Each time I had a stent put in, they started out as angiogram and became angioplasty, each time they went in they put in a stent if needed, except that one time when I needed bypass. Now my Cardiologist wants to do an angiogram, then discuss his findings with me

Let's Talk Kidney Issues
I had a stone removed from my right ureter 2 years ago; the preceding and subsequent CT scans showed stones in both kidneys. 6 months ago I went in for a follow up CT and found a stone completely blocking the left ureter (no pain). Surgeon removed the stone it but the kidney is only functioning at 18%

CLL, paxlovid and heart drugs
I caught covid last March. Although tortuous, the 111, NHS royte worked for me and I received the sotrovimab infusion in my local hospital. 111 had passed my info onto the team response team and a pharmacist contacted me promptly. She wanted to give me paxlovid but reading my notes as we spoke she said

Lowering eGFR and creatine
My husband was recently diagnosed with stage 2 CKD with creatine around 2.1 and eGFR around 42. Between the time his bloodwork showed that and when he saw the nephrologist for the first time, he went in for a heart catherization. The cardiologist discovered two major blockages and was able to put in

getting back to running
I’ve ran for many years (marathons, 10k, fell running etc.) but ended up have a stent fitted about 3 months ago due to angina (no heart attack) so reluctantly stopped running a couple of months before that. I’m recovering well and now doing cardiac rehab exercise classes which are great but relatively
