Itching due to medication??
Hello, I had a liver transplant 3 years ago and take tacrolimus, mycophenolate and prednisone for anti rejection. I have recently had a very itchy localised rash on my neck which I have been treating with hydrocortisone cream. This is having no effect. I was wondering if it could be a reaction to any

fibroscan score and other scores
Hi all. My partner Nick has had his fibroscan score which is 32.8, CAP score is 289, child - pugh 5A, UKELD 45. Anyone know if these scores are dangerously high? I am trying to prepare myself for whats to come. Also, his stomach is swollen most of the time now. I am presuming this could be ascites

ultrasound result
Hello, me again! So my partner has had his letter telling his ultrasound result. It says that there is 24mm irregular area withing the left lobe of his liver. It also says that this could be nothing more than focal fat or a cancer. He now is going to have an urgent MRI. I am so scared now. After

good morning everyone. Saw my doctor the other day and I am so confused. He said I have fatty liver but not liver disease. What does he mean
I haven’t got much faith in my doctor really as he has overlooked my enlarged bile duct in the past. I noticed the report so I requested another ultrasound 12 months later. The size had stayed the same but they noticed fatty liver. The doctor isn’t concerned at all but I am having problems dealing with

Ascites and edema gone. Belly remains.
Hope all of you are well. Quick question. Have any of you had ascites substantially decline and yet your belly remains hard and round? Will this ever go away? Walking and exercising strenuously. Lifting weights , sit-ups and walking approximately 10 miles a week. Eating much healthier. Haven’t drink

Husband with Cirrhosis
Hi all. I’m new to this group and after some help. My husband is in alcoholic recently diagnosed with Cirrhosis after an internal bleed, bruising, fatigue and spider veins on his upper body. He’s an alcoholic. He’s in total denial about it all and is still drinking every day (about 2 cans of Stella)

Advice on medication
Over the last couple of weeks I have had pains in my stomach and for longer than that regular bladder problems. Always feeling I need to go to the toilet. I am on 3.5 mg of prednisolone and am wondering if it has anything to do with the other pills I am taking each day. 1 -20 mg omeprazole, 1 - 1000

Finally some progress
Those who followed our Journey, know this is such a painful process of grief. Two weeks ago, the hospital wrote it would not change the factual information in my wife's chart. In her chart it had been written she had Biopys proven Nash Cirrhosis, which led doctors looking at ultrasounds that said

Cirrhosis fully reversed.
It's been quite a while since I last posted. It's been 3 years since I was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and and it's 6 months now since the very doctors who diagnosed me with cirrhosis confirmed that it is fully recovered and ran fibroscan twice to confirm that indeed it is gone. Only one thing now

LDH Question
My typical quarterly checkup with my CLL doctor follows a certain routine - I have the blood draw and then, as soon as CBC results are available, I see the doctor or his nurse practitioner. And then, long after I've left the office, the other blood results are available, including LDH. So, in other

Mood swings
My husband has a decompensated liver. Recently I have noticed that he gets angry very quickly whereas, when he was drinking he was very placid He has been told he doesn't appear to have H.E. so are these mood swings liver related or would it be more likely to be his abstention from alcohol? I am treading

blood tests vs ultra sounds
I am so confused! I have been diagnosed with cirrhosis after a stay in hospital with ascites. What do they pay more attention to the scans or the blood work? It’s so confusing. They say at scans they are for only surveillance of cancerous lesions but can they tell if the cirrhosis has gotten worse even

Liver and Digestion
How has your liver disease affected your digestive system? My digestion has been unpredictable for years, sometimes constipation and sometimes diarrhea (sorry TMI). Dr always said it was IBS since nothing was seen on colonoscopies etc. I’m wondering if my digestive issues have been from my liver all

Recompensated Liver. Safe to travel.
I had my telephone consultation yesterday with my liver nurse and had some reassuring news. I asked her if I was safe to travel abroad and she said that my liver had recompensated and was functioning normal and that my bloods and scans are normal range and they have no features of concern. It will be
