Diarrhoea saga continued
I've had diarrhoea on and off for over a year. It started after breakfast and stopped around lunch time, not every day, but about 3 days a week. It's been slowly getting more frequent. A month or so ago I spoke to the GP who first diagnosed me with PMR/GCA. She tested me for coeliac and cancer, both

Hi everyone, Hopefully i am at the right place to share my concern regarding my pathology report following surgery. The report mention a negative margin, lymph nodes negative but postive detection on the removed pleural and also lymphovascular invasion. Even if the actual cancer nodule was only 1,2 cm

Gleason downgraded by JH
After my initial MRI came back showing a Pi-Rad 5 in left side, I had a biopsy which came back G 7 (3+4). Two cores were (20%, 30%) and two others were (5%, 60%) - all on left side. Evidence of perineural invasion. JH came back with a G 6 (3+3): two cores were (30%, 40%) and the other two were (5%,

Set Back
After getting back on Zoloft, my anxiety was improving. I went a full week without needing Ativan. I thought things were about to get back to normal. This week, I was hit again with panic attacks and anxiety. Now I'm spiraling in fear that the Zoloft isn't working anymore and I won't have a way to handle

GP insisting on using CRP & ESR as inflammatory markers...and managing to get a creatine kinase blood test ordered...legs are still an issue
Hello I was called in to my GP surgery yesterday, by one of the GPs, the letter indicating it was for a medication review. She's not one of the GPs I prefer to see, she can be a little vague etc. But we ended up going through my meds and she asked about steroids being on my repeat....I said that although

Ibs symptoms
I was told I had IBS 29 years ago after having an ultrasound. It all started just after I was diagnosed with thyroid problems. Not a day has gone by where my stomach doesn't bother me, it always feels as if full of wind, bloated, tight and I often have diarrhea especially in the mornings. Anyone else

SUV Max numbers in PET scan
I’m currently in triple therapy with metastatic PC after RP 6 months ago. Gleason 10. At time of RP all 12 lymph nodes and bladder neck biopsied tested negative but clearly the cancer escaped and was fast moving. I was re-reading the report on my PSMA PET scan (also had bone scan) and saw repeated

Virus affecting IBS-D

Low Dose Seed Brachytherapy Side Effects
I just finished low dose seed brachytherapy six days ago. Post op I’ve had severe urinary retention issues mainly in the middle of the night, usually for just a few hours. Not bad enough to go to the ER, but a few times I wondered if I might have to. For some reason, daytime is not so bad. I was previously

Advice please
I am 68 years old, I have had ulcerative colitis for 45 years. It has been largely under control for the last 5 years, I believe as a result of taking probiotics and changed diet. 5 years ago I had a colonoscopy as a check up, under the NHS. They found a polyp and removed it. I was told I would have

One year stem cell transplant anniversary
This week a year ago I received my donor's stem cells. For those of you not following my posts, it was hard going in the early months but by late June things were looking a lot better both mentally and physically and my hair started its return.. My platelets were one of the slowest things to recover
