Early Breast Cancer - Radiation Treatment
I'm about to embark on a 4 week radiation therapy after my lumpectomy. I'm not looking forward to it. I have a weak heart and ultra sensitive skin. The more I read about its long term side effects, the more hesitant I become. Any advice for me? Has anyone skipped radiation treatment?

Effect of Age on Treatment Outcomes
Here is a recent study that shows having an older age (ranging from 65-75) results in a more favorable outcome when doing radiation treatment (i.e., older is better). The opposite is true for radical prostatectomy (RP) treatment. Namely, the older you are, the worse the outcome is after RP. https:

My husband has been in the hospital with me by his side since Sunday. He’s receiving his radiation treatment to his meninges everyday here and when he is discharged they wanted him to go into a rehab place for a few weeks but no one will take him because of his Pluvicto treatment coming up on Tuesday

weaning off Fentanyl patches
I am on 25mcg Fentanyl patches for pain caused by a compression fracture on my T10 vertebrae due to radiation treatment for metastatic prostate cancer. I have been on painkillers for about 12 months now, beginning with morphine etc which caused intense constipation. I began about 9 months ago on 12 mcg

I’m not a candidate for
radiotherapy
either but I may be a candidate for surgery. I’ve been referred for a laparoscopy to find out if my cancer can be safely reached and removed, if not I’ll be for more chemotherapy. I’ll keep you all posted, love n stuff Carol x

Radiation Sessions
I am considering proton therapy radiation for my DICS cancer found in the left breast. Six months ago, I had a dissection B - TAVAR for a torn aorta. I am very concerned about the radiation penetrating to heart and lungs. The main concern is if proton therapy radiation is so advanced, why is the standard

Lupron Injection denied by Medicare Advantage PPO plan
My husband will need Lupron injections monthly x4. Two before starting radiation, and 2 during radiation treatment. The insurance, Medicare Advantage PPO, denied it. Anyone successfully appealed the denial? Any suggestions from the group? I checked and Medicare part D covers Lupron for the treatment

Are Lymph nodes a filter?
Do lymph nodes simply act as a temporary filter to prevent cancer from spreading too far? I was curious about this because I have 4th stage prostate cancer, and my Lymph had swelled to the size of a golfball. When I took the ADT, my PSA went from 1000, down to 6, and all evidence of cancer disappeared
