Diagnosis of Hughes no longer relevant
Hello everyone on this APS support group. A few months ago it was suggested to me that my clotting/bleeding problems, could be explained by Hughes syndrome/APS. I dutifully proceeded to research this topic and thus became absolutely convinced that my problems were caused by this drug. I obediently

In praise of Ibrance and Letrozole
My initial right-breast cancer appeared (grew very quickly to the size of a grapefruit) in 1992. I had 6 courses of chemo, very extensive mastectomy, 34 radiation, then 6 more chemo. I was clear of what all doctors said would be terminal. Had lots of physical therapy and crying. 24 years later, in 2016

PSMA Scan Availability
I had a radical prostatectomy in July 2015. My PSA has been rising since that time and my oncologist recommended I wait until it reached .5 and get a PSMA scan. This was after I had started hormone therapy to prepare for salvage radiation, but the side effects were unbearable. My PSA is now .41 and

Meeting with a local radiation oncologist for the first time this Thursday. Quick recap - Robotic radical prostatectomy in Oct 2018. PSA has risen to .38 effective a couple of weeks ago. Decipher RP score was .37. Here are the questions I plan to ask them (they are not an academic clinic): 1. Do

Hi everyone, So a few weeks ago I posted my latest TSH, T3 and T4 results and advised I’m a poor converter and advised to take T3 and test vitamins. Luckily my doctor agreed to test Folate, B12, D and Ferritin. They came back all satisfactory according to their ranges. These are the results and would

Impact of Vasectomy on the Development and Progression of PCa: Preclinical Evidence
New study below [1]. A post on the possible influence of vasectomy on PCa development might seem like navel gazing at this point, but the subject continues to interest me. When the first "bad news" about vasectomy was published long ago, the reaction was unexpected. Rather than warn men about to be

Treatment for invasive lobular breast cancer
I am on femara 2.5mg daily for 5 years as of now. No chemotherapy given as oncotype dx score was 9. Right mastectomy done. No radiation given as no lymph nodes were involved and margins after surgery were clear of tumour infiltration. Do I need any other treatment? What about immunotherapy n CDK4/6

To be on Ibrance or not?
To be on Ibranceor not? I moved from CA to PA and last Nov. had a pet scan and it was cancer free, clear. I was on Ibrance and letrozole for two years as my cancer came back in left lymph nodes again. I had estrogen type cancer in left breast in 2009 and had a double mastectomy and chemo. Then for 5

Actemra twist
Just saw my rheumatologist today. I’m having some trouble with the veins on my right arm during my monthly IV treatments of Actemra. I had a left side mastectomy so I can only use my right arm for blood pressures, injections, blood draws and IVs. Veins are not holding up too well after all that’s been

Is ADCAL dangerous?
My GP put me on ADCAL when he diagnosed PMR and started Prednisolone. At my first telephone consultatioon with a rheumy (I sacked him yesterday!) he said to come off it as it is dangerous. I am not on any calcium medication. Anyone confirm this or make any comment? Thanks.

Medical marijuana
Hi! I’m 53 year old women with RLS. I weaned myself off requip in January, my symptoms weren’t that bad for awhile but lately they’re coming back and getting worse. I am so scared to go back on any type of medication that could cause augmentation. Has anyone here tried marijuana? Legal or illegal? I’
