Long-term overall survival of radical prostatectomy patients is often superior to the general population
New German study below [1]. An odd observation. Perhaps the lifestyle changes that men make after diagnosis really do make a difference? It is not surprising that the benefit would diminish with the seriousness of the cancer, but even the high-risk guys did slightly better than the life table. "A total

Radiation or RP for capsular contact?
I have Gleason 7 (3+4) but a high risk Decipher score. Prostate is around 35 cc so SBRT is still a good option as is radical prostatectomy. My MP-MRI showed a 5 mm capsular contact. A surgeon says he can still likely save the nerves on that side but if there is any doubt he will have to cut into the

Anyone have Zometa infusions
Hello. I am 63 and 7 months post mastectomy, and have been on anastrazole since January. My oncologist has suggested I have Zometa infusions every 6 months. I understand there are downsides to consider, including jaw problems. I welcome all insight Thank you in advance!

Hello
Hi, I’m sure a lot of this will have been discussed before on various posts but I haven’t had a chance to have a proper look through the forum yet. I’m 26 and have been on high dose steroids for the last few years. I’ve been on adcal and vit D during that time but not bisphosphonates (despite me asking

Radical Prostatectomy vs External Beam Radiation Therapy for High-Grade, Clinically Localized Prostate Cancer

The data were extracted from the National Cancer Database (2006–2015) and propensity

I have hope
I am new and this is my first post. I had breast cancer 11 years ago at the age of 64. It was caught very early by routine mammogram and the surgeon was just going to remove the very small lump. I said I would feel safer if I had a mastectomy, and he agreed to that. Now the cancer has come back, this

My experience with medically prescribed vaping for RLS
I have had RLS since my 20's and I am now 72. I have avoided taking dopamine agonists and other RLS medications for fear of augmentation. My chosen path is an anti-inflammatory diet, supplements, healthy lifestyle and so far I do manage to live a reasonable life. In the past 2 years I have embraced

Scans and questions
I have a question about CT scan results. I was diagnosed with MBC a year ago after being 5 years clear of breast cancer. I'm on Ibrance 125 mg and Faslodex shots. The cancer had spread to both sides of my neck, my sternum, and lung. I had a PET scan in January and the tumors had shrunk in my neck

Positive chat with GP
My doctor rang with the results of my Dexa Scan and I have Osteopenia which he says is post menopausal and age related, and he is happy for me to carry on with Adcal , exercise and diet. He wants another scan in 3 years, so pleased with that. I also mentioned about my psoriasis and swollen toes, and

Hi Friends Again, I will like to know if you tried Medical Marijuana for Dyskinesia. How was your experience? Did it help? How much did you take for the treatment and in what form? I am aware that Marijuana helps to relax spastic muscles in people with upper motor Neurone disease, like stroke, and

Hello, after 2 years of treatment I stopped my Biologic Benepali last April 2021 (after 2 yrs it caused a severe, itchy, neck, chest and face rash that wouldn't go away with Betnovate and Piriton). Later in April, I had a steroid injection and my 2nd Astra Z (no after effects) On 16th June I paid £500

Hi, I have reponded to several private messages recently re the above, so just in case it`s of interest to a wider audience, I`m coming to the end of a two Month trial via the Project Twenty21. of Satoline oil 5%THC. unfortunately for me it hasn`t made the slightest difference to my RLS, the only slight
