Long-term Endo here but need advice around contraceptive options
Hi everyone, bit of info about me: I was diagnosed with PCOS many years ago when trying to have children and had my first laparoscopy in 2009 where they also found small pockets of endo which they lasered off. In 2011 I had my second laparoscopy whilst still undergoing investigations for infertility

Stearic Acid & Oleic Acid
I have grown hot & cold over the benefit of olive oil over the years. The major fat in olive oil is oleic acid (55-83%). Some will say that the true benefit lies in the high polyphenol content of unfiltered extra virgin olive oil [EVOO]. However, this is not what the majority of people around the

Considering options regarding salvage radiation.
"I had robotic radical prostatectomy in April 2019 with Gleason Score of 4+3, clear margins, and unilateral nerve sparing, (one seminal vesicle implicated). Since surgery I now have no problems with incontinence, and using Trimix injection (12 units) has work well for the ED. 18 months post-operation

Other Gleason 8 guys, I see in studies, research and in on going trials, Radical Prostatectomy shows better over all survival
On another site yana, ( you are not alone, a prostate survival story site) a site of survival stores all the Gleason 8 with Radiology Prostatectomy, have longer survival, some guys are still alive after 10, 12 years and I talk to a few that actually had RP after metastatic spread… There are now

Time course of radiation effects
My profile shows more details but in summary I have Gleason 4+4 prostate cancer, diagnosed 7/15 and treated with radical prostatectomy followed by pelvic radiation and 18 months of Lupron. After about 18 months off treatment new spread to sacral bone was found on choline 11 PET scan. This was radiated

Latest Update to Here We Go Again
Underwent the "simple mastectomy" on Nov 1 on the right side. This is my third breast cancer surgery and sixth primary cancer overall. I was so discouraged to have cancer again and did not want the surgery, but it was the only rational option. Already have had so much radiation to the chest (lung cancer

Adcal-D3
Just wondering if anyone takes Adcal-D3 prescribed by the GP. I've just been looking at the level of D3 and its 400 I.U. (equivalent to 10 micrograms per tablet). For winter that seems low to me; was wondering if anyone takes extra D3? Its important I can absorb calcium as I've now got osteoporosis

Hello everyone, I am going through some personal ordeals and would like to gather more information off of others experiences. My back story, I have had issues with depression and anxiety since I was a teenager, but nothing severe. Had a very close loss and have been a wreck since. First was misdiagnosed

osteopenia, Hashimotos and sjogrens
hi, my rheumatologist has prescribed Adcal and Alendronic acid. Due to oesphagitis because of Sjögren’s I don’t want to take Alendronic acid. Through research and the help of thyroid UK I now take vitamin D3 MK2 and magnesium. Pains in my chest which used to feel like a heart attack have cleared up since

Suspicious Lung Nodule "Disappeared" w/ Eligard (Lupron)??
I'm currently being treated (prostate bed only) with radiation for recurring prostate cancer that came back after radical prostatectomy 12 years ago. First PSMA in 2021 showed no spread. Second PSMA in 2022 "lit up" a small area in prostate bed as well as a lung nodule that appears to have been there

fnd since may 2022
my FND came on after the birth of my daughter. Started with vertigo, balance issues, fleeting paralysis until July when my full body went into paralysis and continued to do so for weeks. In and out of paralysis. Was admitted into the hospital and since then I’ve had almost every symptom you can get it

Does anyone have experience of a Mirena Coil with Hypothyroidism (esp. Hashimoto's)? I have very heavy periods, now on 100mcg Levo and feeling much improved. I'm 48 so very likely peri-menopausal too. Just had an appointment with the Womens' Health Nurse at our practice who suggested Mirena IUD as
