Suspicious Lung Nodule "Disappeared" w/ Eligard (Lupron)??

I'm currently being treated (prostate bed only) with radiation for recurring prostate cancer that came back after radical prostatectomy 12 years ago. First PSMA in 2021 showed no spread. Second PSMA in 2022 "lit up" a small area in prostate bed as well as a lung nodule that appears to have been there for quite some time (10+ years). First provider did not think the lung nodule was prostate cancer and recommended prostate bed radiation only. Second opinion provider (where I chose to go) has gone ahead with the prostate bed radiation, but also thought it would be good to get a baseline Chest CT BEFORE hormone (Eligard) treatment, and then do another after Eligard — if the lung nodule shrank, it would be a good sign of being prostate cancer. Well, the lung nodule "disappeared" — no sign on new Chest CT, now confirmed by two radiologists. ??? My team now thinks it is "likely" prostate cancer and that the nodule has simply become so small that it cannot be seen by the CT — I'm not certain. Thoughts?

It probably was prostate cancer. Shrinking due to Lupron is a good indicator.

Better hidden than seen fully operational . Lupron can work! 👏👏👏👍

I had the same experience last month. A lung nodule that was found in my PC CT scan was being tracked by my Pulmonologist. My last of 3 CT lung scans showed the nodule had all but disappeared. Needless to say, I was quite happy to hear some good news.

I was told that it would be rare to have only one nodule if it was PC.
