However I am told by my Consultant & Pharmacy that they cannot

Nocturnal leg cramps
In the past I was advised to take
quinine
bisulphate tablets 300mg but not sure if it really works. Folks, has anybody experienced this condition and if so is it possible to know what are the causes and how to prevent it happening?

MY OPINIONS ON THE EFFECTS OF HYDROXYCHLORAQUIN (OR LET'S CALL IT JUST HC
A young F1-grade doctor suggested that HC might be suitable because of the
Quinine
content, which had worked for other skin problems - it was, and after a week of applying generous quantities of a skin cream whilst taking HC pills the rash cleared up and I've been taking it ever since, . . . . however

Serotonin Makes Tumors Happy Too
Qunine and Chloroquine:
Interestingly, it has been recently reported in the Nature magazine that the antimalaria drug
Quinine
that is also known to have anti cancer actions (its derivative chloroquine has strong anti cancer effects as well) interferes with serotonin biosynthesis

Just filed the latest letter.
What larks! Somebody is making a fortune off me with sales of poly pockets! Anyway, the letter just repeated most a conversation I’d had with the electro cardiologist. While he didn’t print it, he did say to me that the drugs I’m taking won’t stop another Torsades de Points episode. He did print that

Has anyone knowledge /experience with Quinine for RLS?
I recently saw an internist who prescribed
quinine
nightly. I read that is not recommended by the FDA for RLS or leg cramps . I don’t want to take it but I’m wondering does any one else have experience with this drug . Thanks to the great people of this forum for any insights .

I was offered
quinine
'as this is what he has always prescribed'. I have heart failure, CKD and a few other health issues, so as the
quinine
causes irreversible damage to the kidneys I declined. Nothing else was offered!

Quinine in tonic water
But now I’m concerned that the
quinine
in tonic water isn’t good for me. I can’t find a definitive answer to this. Anybody know?
