symbicort to fostair ?
I was on symbicort morning and night and then salbutamol as needed, however the past two weeks my asthma has flared up resulting in prednisone for 5 days (which ended the same day I got switched to fostair) I got switched to fostair 100/6 on the mart scheme , I’ve been using fostair for 4 days now

Asthma attack - school says no more rowing
My 14-year-old son had a serious asthma attack post-exercise in school. Paramedics were called and he recovered after receiving nebulizer treatment. Now, he has been told he no longer will be allowed to have a seat in his rowing team, alternatively he is allowed to cox. He is devastated. I am trying

MART Regime
I don’t usually post but read lots of good advice on here and wondered if anyone else used Fostair 100/6 on the MART regime? I had my review on Thursday and the respiratory nurse asked me to try it instead of using my salbutamol, I’m just a bit concerned as I don’t feel my Fostair acts as quickly at

Singulair side effect or just anxiety?
I know this med is posted a lot, and there are a ton of different side effects people experience but I am wondering if mine are related to Singulair or if it truly is anxiety. Sorry ahead of time for such a long post! I recently experienced heart palpitations while driving, was lightheaded, faint,

2x Emergency Steroids in one month
Well, if you said to me to stay off work last week, you were probably absolutely right 😂 I got some kind of flu-ey thing which left me wiped out on Monday and then - whoosh - straight to my chest. I went to the dr on Tuesday and he was reluctant to prescribe me anything because I'd just had

biological not working
I started a biological for my asthma 4 months ago and had a lung function test today to show that it’s reduced down to 2L 😭 I feel no different I’m very breathless I’m hospitalised all of the time with attacks normally due to viruses. Has anybody else had the same results or lack of 🫣 as my doctor

Very breathless lying down
Hi people, I am 62, ex long term smoker. Here is my situation. I regularly wake up too early in the am and after going to the loo I try to go back to sleep but start to experience what feels like suffocation or as if I've forgotten to breathe. Often I can't breathe through my nose because of congestion

Which one?
After recently being diagnosed with mild COPD, advice would be appreciated. I had struggled with my coughing and phleghm for the last 8 months, I am an ex smoker after quitting 17 years ago and had no issues up to that point. At the initial time they thought I may be asthamatic so for the last 8 months

Another Nebuliser question
Hi - I've been watching tthe discussions about nebulisers. For some time I have thought one might be helpful (COPD severe). My COPD team were fairly unhelpful but the respiritory nurse at my GP surgery as just prescribed some Salbutamol nebules. She is now away on holiday. I have bought myself a portable

Good sats - so why so breathless?
THAT is indeed the question. Why, with my peripheral O2 levels at 94/5 %even 96% am I still fighting to breath? It goes like this. I wake short of breath. I rise and take my Oximeter (I have several; they all show the same) . My level is, say 92%. I do controlled breathing using a computer monitor

Recovering from Pneumonia
hello, I posted 2 weeks ago about having pneumonia and got some really helpful replies so thank you. I’m 25, asthmatic and started feeling poorly on 17th Jan. I have been back and forwards to the doctors & hospital, had 14 days of antibiotics now and feeling much better with regards to the coughing,

salbutamol and hands
hi everyone, I use Fostair and salbutamol, alongside tiotropium. My hands have been so shaky and sore since flare up which was in November. This makes my hands hard to use and very painful. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on how to support the pain and shakiness? Doctors just dismiss

Multiple lung diagnoses: feedback please
hi. This is my first post here. I have televisit with my GP in june but meanwhile sitting on these CT scan results: mild emphesima, mild bronchiectasis, atelectasis and chest X-Ray says: hyperinflation. They are following a few nodules ( thus the CT scan) which are ok. Stable. And I have asthma. I

available medications Now
Always given Salbutamol for my condition. Worked like magic and so quickly too. Don’t know if others are as happy with it as me? Two weeks ago was prescribed Salumol. Same drug but without the propellant. That means I always need the Spacer I’ve never needed before! Now the medication doesn’t get to
