It sounds as if you’ve had a horrendous day. I too, am having breathing issues I have bronchiectstasis, severe asthma and ILD. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, and I had blood tests on Monday which show I’m anaemic. This means I’m breathless as well as very tired. I have spent most of today in bed asleep. I’m cold now so I’m going to attempt to fill my water bottle. I’m staying at my daughter’s house at the moment so sleep downstairs. I honestly don’t think I could get up and down at the moment

I hope You start to feel better soon.

just to say I deleted my first reply to you because I rambled on about my A and E experiences , hijacked your post .

Apologies .

I sympathise , breathlessness , anxiety , breathlessness ….panic .

Dreadful

But if you are getting no relief , ring 111 or go back to A and E .Explain or write down how it’s affecting you .

Contact your surgery Monday or a pharmacy open on a Sunday

ALUK helpline open on Monday

Asthma and Lung Conditions website has good advice too. Don’t click on the first site on Google but scroll down to the site with the pink cross .

Take care . 111 is there and A and E

Do read up on lung clearance+incorporate in regime.also read up on controlled breathing techniques and practise, practise so u use whn struggle - it does help + reduces anxiety. Anxiety makes breathing worse

its very hard not to worry with breathing difficulties and it can take over your life. Not made any easier by difficulty of accessing medical services these days, an additional worry. I wonder if a session with a chest physio would help so they could go through a routine with you for managing your chest? which might help you to feel more in control of it? Hope you are feeling more reassured after your A&E visit. all the best Sally👍

sorry to hear of your problem, I too was in serious trouble , short of breath, severe pain, ended in A/E, it turned out I had pneumonia , I do have copd, but could not understand why I had no cough.

Hope you feel better soon. 💐

Oh my you have been having a horrible time by the sound of things ...Take time to recover and take care of you ... Keep your ventolin beside you at all times it's so much easier than having to move around to find it if you don't feel great 🌺🌺🌺🌷

Hi Germantara, you have every reason to get anxious and panic. We all probably do. It's a natural reaction I think. Although most of us come across as calm I think that's easy to do in a message. Doesn't always reflect what we are feeling inside. I spend most of my time feeling down and anxious so you're not over reacting. Take care and go easy on yourself ❤️😊xxx

Not being able to breathe is one of the most scariest things in the world so the way that you felt is totally understable. I think that you were right to go to hospital rather than take a chance. Hopefully you're feeling a bit better this morning? Viruses can be just a bad as bacterial infections so it's a shame that they didn't test for that too.

If you're not feeling better, I would either go back or at least phone 111.

Take care xx

Hope you’re feeling a bit better now. We all get scared when our breathing gets tight, it’s only natural and you are still recovering so be kind to yourself.

Take care

Not being able to breath is scary - That's natural, I have been to A&E twice not being able to breath proper. You are 100% right IMO sleeping on the couch if that is where you are most comfy, if I did not live in a bungalow, I would do thatnuntil I felt fit to go up stairs, I have done that in the past,

Hope you are soon well again.
