Repeating tests again.......

I had these done as a CXR showed a characteristic pattern on the lungs earlier in the year. Everything came back as OK and was given a

Hi Everyone I'm new here. I've recently been diagnosed with copd. I've quit smoking, I'm in my 3rd week and have gone cold turkey woohoo
I'm so proud I've quit smoking after trying so many times. One of the side effects I'm having is hunger. I just can't stop eating! Help what can I do?

I am going to have 2 weeks intensive leg bandaging in hospital but they want me to have restricted fluids and take diuretics.
Everything I have read about taking water tablets to reduce fluid retention in lymphoedema patients says it doesn't work and it could even make things worse. I would be grateful if anyone could let me know if this will be safe for me, and if there is a LSN 'policy' or some guidance notes on this issue

The flu vaccine for APS patients in the UK
The flu vaccine is available now at most GP practices in the UK. As APS is a long-term condition, the majority of GPs advise that we have the vaccine. If you do chose to have the flu jab, most APS patients do not have any adverse reactions and it is considered safe and effective. However, if you are

I am due to have a pic line fitted soon?
My veins are being difficult and keep hiding from the chemo nurses (little devils) and it has been suggested I have a pic line fitted for the remaining two chemos and for the months of Avastin. Any tips would be helpful. I am a little worried about the fact I already have a PUlmonary embolism. Jill

Does the flu vaccine affect Warfarin
I expect we will all be going for our Flu "jabs" very soon, and I wondered if the vaccine affects how Warfarin works. Last year I was on weekly/fortnightly checks so did not query this. Now, however, I am on 10 weekly checks and wanted know if I should make an earlier appointment with the Warfarin

Have you taken Xarelto (rivaroxaban)?
Another request - please get in touch if you can relate to this and live in the UK: - We are looking for someone with AF who is willing to tell their story to the media and be photographed. Ideally they would be on warfarin or aspirin and have been refused a novel oral anticoagulant (dabigatran, rivaroxaban

Thank you one and all. Update on Hospital.
A big thank you for all who read and left a lovely comment on my previous Post. I had a lovely meal with the family and had a nice night in. Had my Hospital hemoglobin appointment today. For the past 3 years my iron/hemoglobin count drifted between 95 and 110, in June this year they put me on a drip

Time to find a new pulmonologist?
Every quarter in Israel I can change doctors and the end of a quarter is coming up (end September). I'm increasingly frustrated with my current pulmonologist, but I'm worried that I won't do much better with a new pulmonologist. All the pulmonologists in town work that are part of my health plan work

Travel Health Insurance
I have recently been diagnosed with Copd, I have been with my current insurer for travel health insurance for about 12 years with asthma quoted on it as existing medical condition, I have never had to make a claim in all that time. As my insurance is up for renewal on 31 August I decided to give them

AF and pacemaker change of mode
I had an ablation 17 months ago which worked very well. In March of this year I had a breathing problem which resulted in a course of steriods. My GP thought that my pacemaker which was paced at 60 could be partly responsible for the breathing difficulty (I thought I had a chest infection) and wrote
