Can someone help me with symptoms? Is is possible to be on Heparin and Warfarin and still experience awful symptoms? Help please.
I suffered a massive DVT in 2003 that almost killed me. Had another in 2009. Finally diagnosed with APS in 2010. Have been on Coumadin, but now realize I was experiencing symptoms all along that may be related to APS. I am wondering if others have had the problems I'm having. In the last week my INR

Anybody gone from warfarin back to fragmin?
I am wondering whether to ask if I can try going back to fragmin alone. I have been on warfarin for 6 years and right now it is driving me nuts. I think I am in peri menopause and my INR changes everyday. So I am always testing and adjusting my doses. And actually I really want to be able to eat foods

Do I have Hughes Syndrome? Details below.
In 2002 I had a femoral DVT (I had not been on a long haul flight). Warfarin was prescribed for 6 months. After this period test were carried out to determine the cause. I was told I have Thrombophilia (prothombin 20210) and have been put on warfarin for life.Thankfully since taking warfarin I no longer

Having been diagnosed with Hughes Syndrome in 2002 (main symptoms: numb fingers, blind spots, migraines, dizziness, unsteady gait, speach and memory problems) and having seen Prof Hughes, then and subsequently, I was tried first with 75mg aspirin (no effect), then Plavix (no effect), then 5,000IU Fragmin

My diagnosis
Hi all, I am new to the site and this is the second time I have tried to post this so fingers crossed it works this time! I suffered a DVT back in 1998 when my two boys were 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 respectively so a surprise to everyone that with all that running around and as a non-smoker I'd be a candidate

The effect of cannabis on the lungs - share your experience
Many people don’t realise the effects smoking cannabis can have on your lung health. A report by the British Lung Foundation (BLF) found that just three cannabis cigarettes can cause the same damage as 20 tobacco cigarettes as the tar from cannabis cigarettes contain 50% more cancer causing carcinogens

Inhalation Injury - New to asthma and asthma forum
Hello, I am new to this forum, and looking for help. Recently, during a home renovation project, I had the misfortune to inhale some dust from old horsehair plaster, despite wearing what I thought was an acceptable respirator. Within hours I developed a burning tightness in my chest, and I knew something

Pulmonary Function Report
We recently changed hospitals and specialists. My son was for the first time earlier this year, given a full Pulmonary Function Test - blowing into a device connected to some software on a PC. For the first time ever we saw how his FEV1 (amount he can blow in first second) was only 72% of what it should

So after many sleepless nights due to the pain of endo & the worry I finally had my hysterectomy last wednesday, including removal of my ovaries & tubes. I must admitt I am in nowhere near as much pain as i thought i would be & i am feeling more positive & optemistic than i have done in years so hopefully

Miserable day at the hospital today!!!
Hi Went and had my pulmonary function test today. That did not go so well as after 30-35 mins of blowing and holding my breath etc, I was tired, felt faint and refused to conintue, despite the technician calling his supervisor! Went onto to do my bimnonthly bloods and the technician I had on this

Does phlebitis in surface veins show up in an ultrasound?
I have had a couple of leg venous ultrasounds, which I passed with flying colors, in the past year. But recent developments -- pain goes away with higher INR, the stronger the leg muscles get, now that I have returned to exercise and PT --the less pain in my legs I feel -- All suggest that the DVT-like

APS with Flu Vaccination
My doc suggested that it would be wise to get the annual seasonal flu jab as so many cold/flu medicines interact so much with Warfarin that it's better to be protected from flu as much as possible in the first place. Have any of you had the seasonal flu jab whilst on Warfarin and has it caused any
