PE breathlessness
Hi, I suffered with unprovoked multiple bilateral PE in October 2014, was put on walfarin lifelong though switched over to rivaroxaban about 10 months ago for ease of management. I still find that I'm pretty much constantly short of breath and often feel fatigued. I'm beginning to lose confidence in

New lung issues.
I finally snapped and pressed my doctor to run some tests. You guys know I have been posting for ages on here about how I feel like a 91 year old man. My doctor sent me for a sleep study just to shut me up. I told the sleep doctor about all of my breathing issues so he sent me for a pulmonary function

Possible Restrictive Lungs Disease.
Hello everyone. I'm writing this post because I am deeply concerned about failing a pulmonary function test. A bit of history on my situation is as follows. I have had chest pain for many years, I just pretty much ignored it. That was until 2012 when I had a work related accident that caused me to have

Depo provera shot...
Hi just seeing if this has happened to anyone else really as I'm getting a bit worried! I had the 3 month depo provera shot in October but I never had the next injection as I had horrible side effects and I bled everyday for 3 months whilst on it! Once the 3 months was over I didn't have a period for

New and just saw pulmonary specialist
Hi all and thanks for reading my post. I just left the pulmonary specialist who said I have moderate COPD and stage 2. I do not cough up phlegm or experience real shortness of breath and I told him that. I walk at least a mile a day 6-7 days a week. He said during my pulmonary function test the breathing

Alveoli.
Hi, a quick question about alveoli (I think that's how you spell it) Apparently exercise can increase lung volume, if this is true then wouldn't that mean an increase in alveoli part of the lungs also ? and if so how would that effect COPD sufferers ? Thank you in advance.

Pulmonary Embolism after ablation
Hi all Not as bad as it sounds honestly and I really don't want to panic anyone but I just wanted to flag this up having recently seen my EP for my follow up appt 3 weeks after my ablation. It's a bit of a long story but basically because of another issue ( liquid around my lungs) after my ablation

COPD
Can anyone tell me if a green inhaler containing Salmeterol 50 micrograph, one puff twice a day is a large dose. I was diagnosed with COPD last week and my Dr didn't tell me much not even what stage I was and at the time I did not know that even existed. I was told my lungs are equivalent to a 79 year

Change of anticoagulant
Hi after several years being relatively stable on warfarin I started to keep going out of range so visiting clinic weekly or at best every 2 weeks. Yesterday after a lot of deliberation I agreed to go on rivaroxaban 20 mg once a day. Fingers crossed :)

First EP appointment
Thanks to all your replies to my first post as a newbie, and all the advice I've read on the blog since, I had a good idea of what to ask for after I was diagnosed with PAF in December. After initially trying me on beta blockers my very helpful GP was happy to refer me to an EP under the NHS and even

Feeling all weird
I feel really weird I started feeling weird earlier on today. I was sensitive to light and I felt like I would faint. For the past couple hours it feels like I'm not even "here". I was at the store with my friends and I felt like I was out of my body and not in reality. I keep focusing on mean things

Switch from Warfarin to Rivaroxaban
Thanks for all the help in the past. I now have another question. I've had a four month check up at Liverpool and everything is good. I told Dr Todd that my hair was thinning and he asked me if I wanted to change from Warfarin to one of the new anticoagulants. I replied that I didn't fancy the strict

Peasants Versus Smart New Cars And Doing The Shopping...
The entire street is up in arms, because, after four blissful years of the road being closed the new bridge is up and the road re-opened... Himself has already been the victim of a snotty bloke who shook his fist at him at seven in the morning while he was out with the dogs...didn't move to the side

Restrictive lung disease and copd.
Hello, I'm new here or to any online group. I've been fighting restrictive lung disease and copd along with asthma since 2004. Along the way I developed congested heart failure. I've had good years and bad months. Although I've been hospitalized twice in the last 4 months. I'm 45 and not ready to give
