Shortness of breath for no reason
Hi Friends! I have started symptoms of shortness of breath since over a month. I am 48, never smoked in my life and have lived in pretty non hazardous work environment. It mostly happens typically in morning first half hours or sometimes in evening. It also triggers if I am exposed to a low oxygen environment

Pulmonary hypertension
I have widespread acute emphysema and have been placed on portable oxygen 4L which is all good, certainly helps when exercising. Yesterday I had a echograph completed and the specialist informed me - yes definite pulmonary hypertension and he will form a report to my doctor. Looking on google, this

Stents
I have seen my consultant today and he is going to refer me to a specialist to see if I can qualify for stents in my lung or maybe require a Lung Volume Reduction (remove bad section of my lung). I would just like to know if anyone on here has had either procedure and their opinions

AF and the flu jab
Could anyone tell me if your are entitled to the free flu jab if you have AF, the reason I ask was the doctors said yes but when I went to have it they said it wasn't on their list and as it was not written on my notes by the doctor they could not give it to me. Diagnosed with APS in 1998/99, on coumadin since 1996
I got a blood clot when I was 19. Doctors didn't know why, and put me on coumadin for 3 months. The symptoms improved, but then after the 3 months of treatment ended, I experienced burning in my fingers and toes. I took an asprin a day and the symptoms resolved. I stopped taking it thinking I didn't

Another question about CTEPH
Hey, about seven years ago, I had a massive saddle pulmonary embolism. Apparently it did a lot of damage to my lungs. I have recently been diagnosed with a moderately enlarged right heart. My ejection fraction is normal, and my PAP is 20.1. The doc said my PAP is completely normal. No Pulmonary Hypertension

Rivaroxaban or Warfarin?
What are the pros and cons of Warfarin against Xarelto (rivaroxaban)? I’ve been on Xarelto for 3 years and I’ve had skin issues constantly and dizziness which I think are side effects of it? Also, the issue of no antidote to reverse the affects of the drug is always a worry in the back of my head..

New diagnosis. So tired.
I am newly diagnosed with asthma. Likely have had it most of my life. I am having pulmonary function tests done tomorrow. My question is: Will my energy come back when I have this under control with medication. I have not been able to have anything except cough meds and albuterol since I have gotten

Flu jab for over 65's
I had the flu jab yesterday, spent the entire night coughing last night and have been terribly breathless today. I feel exactly as I did when I had pneumonia so I have increased my steroids from 10mg to 40mg today. Not feeling any better so think I will try the Clarithomycin as well tomorrow. I have

Right lung congestion
Omg I have the exact same issue! I’ve been complaining for months. I can feel that I’m not breathing well through a certain area of my lung. Each doctor that I go to blows it off on another doctor like: it won’t improve until you get your reflux in check. GI doctor says that I have no evidence of active

In need of a consultant who follows Prof Hughes protocol
Basically I was diagnosed sero negative in 2004 by Prof Hughes and treated with warfarin, later fragmin. Now I have nobody to support me. I don’t want to be on fragmin forever it’s been 3 years now plus I’m getting older too. But I’m afraid to see anybody I’ve had 2 nhs Drs say they’ve not heard of seronegative
