Writing about post partum psychosis
Hi all. I have recently come off all my medication after nearly three years & am experiencing some flashbacks from when I was very poorly. I wondered if anyone else had experienced this & whether writing about my experience may help? Just before I had PPP I graduated from University with a degree

MBU's Are there plans for more?
I had PPP in 1990 after the birth of my son. I was lucky to have had a MBU on my doorstep in Winwick Hospital, near Warrington, Cheshire. The site where Winwick Hospital once stood is now a housing estate. I think the nearest MBU is in Manchester. I cannot imagine what it is like for women with PPP

Medical negligence
I'm now in the horrid process of suing the hospital and all of the horrid memories of
psychosis
have resurfaced. I saw a psychiatrist today as a part of the claim. I was wondering if anyone else had been through this experience and if anything helped?

Experience of being in a MBU?
A question about mother and baby units: can anyone tell me about her experiences in one ? what helped and what if anything could have been better ? How many others were there at the same time ? Or were you and your baby alone ?Did you learn valuable information about your depression ? How did you

Mother and Baby unit
Which mother and Baby units accept mums with a higher risk? And which have the most support for helping mums who struggle with energy to care solely for there babies due to their depression?

My Mental Health Symptoms gone - Changed my way of eating
I was never diagnosed with any mental health illness or
psychosis
, Over those 36 years, I have had suicidal periods, agoraphobia, severe paranoia, deep depression even when not suicidal to the point of not washing or getting dressed during days on end.

Previous mental illness/psychosis?
I was just thinking I wonder if many people who suffer from pp after having a baby have any previous mental illness or
psychosis
? I have had both, ongoing depression and anxiety and I had a psychotic episode around 6 years ago also.

I'm being assessed to go to Bristol MBU...any experiences? I have severe PND with this baby (number 3). I went to Birmingham MBU with number 2 with PP. I'm feeling very nervous.

When the bough breaks
Has anyone else seen this documentary about postpartum depression and
psychosis
? It's on Netflix. I can't help feeling angry when
psychosis
and infanticide are uttered in the same breath. It's so rare and I feel it increases the stigma around
psychosis
.

Just need to vent—and let moss grow over me
It’s where you constantly pick at your skin), and maybe
psychosis
? I’m taking medication, and seeing a therapist. But I always walk out of therapy feeling wounded or a unsettled. Maybe that’s the point. In short....this all feels like too much work to handle.

Perimenopause and repeat episodes
I seem to remember reading something about there being a risk of a repeat episode of
psychosis
during the perimenopause stage. Does anyone have any experience/feedback or other words of advice in relation to this please? I will be going to GP too. Thank you in advance.

Getting it back together
Four years ago I was hospitalized for postpartum
psychosis
with my third child. I had ECT and maintained things for three years. Unfortunately, I was unable to go off medication successfully. I thought I was doing fine, but after much stress I was hospitalized again.

Risks during peremenopause
Im completely new to posting on here so please have patience. I suffered from PP 5 years ago and iv had no other symptoms since but I am getting increasingly worried that I may be starting early menopause. I am 44yrs old. I have been recently feeling quite depressed, no energy and extremely short tempered
