Recovering from PPS without the use of live long medication
I had my first postpartum
psychosis
with my first born son. It the scariest time in my whole entire existence. I dealt with paranoia, insomnia and so much anxiety of being a first-time mother. I felt so overwhelmed that I could not even breathe.

Talk to expecting mums on my experience of PP
Hey guys, I’ve had PP twice, my boys are 2 and 1 years old so not all that long ago. I was very lucky that I recovered fairly quickly, I had never heard of PP before my illness. Ive been ask to share my experience with some expecting mums. I’m very aware that I need to not try and scare the mums but

Well tomorrow is going to be make or break, I’m off to Sheffield to see Professor Hadjivassiliou to hopefully come to some answers, I am coeliac but last year for a couple of months I couldn’t walk properly and my speech was disturbed, I’m ok now but gluten has been the main culprit I have also had

A quick follow up to 'visual weirdness' (my previous post)
As I said above they are all catergorised under the umbrella heading of neuro-
psychosis
. Are these chemicals released due to damage, many suffers experience these conditions weeks or months after the actual injury, myself included- 2 months after.

Why does it feel like doctors have no idea what is going on, ever?
Is this
psychosis
? Or "agitated depression" ?

Coming Off Lithium -any advice?
This is my first experience with lithium and only episode of
psychosis
so I'm hoping it will not develop into a long term condition, but coming off lithium feels like it might be the moment of truth.

Positive pregnancy test, eek!
I’ve just found out I’m pregnant, it’s very early and I have a history of miscarriage so I’m not counting my chickens just yet but, trying to be positive and think ahead! I had PPP when my son was born in 2016. I was very fortunate, all things considered, and responded well to treatment very quickly

PTSD
I have just being having flashbacks to my PPP on set. I believe what caused my PPP was the fact that I was abused as a child. All through my pregnancy there were programmes on the TV saying that if you were abused you will go on to abuse your children. I tried not to pay much attention, but subconsciously

Wild story time. Today sucked but I made it through!
I said, “yeah so on top that of the note, Zoloft gave me DP/DR that I’ve never had more than once prior and I want reassurance I don’t have schizophrenia or
psychosis
”. He goes, “you don’t have schizophrenia or
psychosis
but you do have borderline personality disorder”. I was like, “WHAT?”

Anxious about birth
I’m due to give birth to my third child in a few weeks. I have bipolar and have had PP with both my other children, plus lots of episodes of mania and depression in between. I’m just coming out of a six week manic episode. I’m scared of how birth is now going to affect me.

Today sucks lol
Legit thought I was in
psychosis
or something. I went to grab food and thought I was gonna faint. My vision is like having difficulty focusing when I walk outside. It gets better if I breathe. It’s ok now. I’m SO sleepy and don’t know why. I’m trying to fight it.
