Trying to get to retirement before HT
My
PSA
level before the biopsy was 8.1, and my Gleason Score was 4+4. Fortunately, there are no signs of metastases. Although my treatment hasn't started yet, it's likely that I'll begin radiation therapy in early December.

PSA
undetectable for last 18 months. I have been taking abiraterone & lupron & I am considering a treatment 'holiday'. Would a PSMA PET scan be beneficial ?

Need help please
When fully healed and and feeling ok I thought maybe ok on no meds so for last two months not on any Meds for
PSA
. A few days ago My big toe to foot joint suddenly swelled and became unbearable to put weight on it and shows no signs of improvement making me realise this maybe a flare.

My
PSA
had come down to 10 but after the last dose of Pluvicto it’s back up to 17. I live on 3 oxycodone per day and the pain reduction is minimal. I’m starting to see what the end looks like. Any suggestions from you guys? Thank you!!!!

CEA Fluctuations
His
PSA
decreased from 0.72 to 0.68 but I understand that this is not as important anymore as the cancer is now small cell. Scans are in the next 2 weeks so we will know then if chemo is working or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nodules on prostate
I have annual urologist exams; my
PSA
2 years ago was 0.6. Last year was 0.5 (admittedly I did not know you should refrain from orgasm 2 days before blood draw). Urologist said 0.5 is fantastic, no need for digital exam anymore.

Recently Diagnosed. Overwhelmed.
I was advised that I was a candidate for active surveillance for the next year with periodic
PSA
checks and another biopsy in a year. I saw Dr. Catalona at Northwestern University in Chicago for a second opinion on February 12.

High PSA after surgery
PSA
on June 2nd was .31. My
PSA
prior to surgery was 6.0 and gleason 3+4. I think my surgeon may have misled me. I had told him prior to agreeing to the surgery that I did not want to give up my sex life and did not want to be incontinent.

Need help understanding Enzalutamide
Now it appears the abiraderone is failing with the
PSA
starting to rise to 3.2. Saw DR today and in November after new bone scan and CT, he will most likely take him off Abi and start the next step… Enzalutamide.

Anyone have a high testosterone after SBRT?
In September 2022 I had image guided SBRT utilizing ViewRay Technology for a 3+4 gleason grade, low decipher score,
PSA
2.7 before treatment, on Avodart for BPH. Been monitoring PSAs and Testosterone every three months, and remaining on Avodart.

Extra Mammary Paget's Disease.
PSA
rising since, now 6. Due to Ulcerative Colitis, unable to have radiotherapy, so now it's incurable. In March 2023, diagnosed with this new cancer. The frequent leaking was assumed to be the cause of the rash around the scrotum.

I Am Following MO's Advice and Sticking With the Lupron and "Abi" To See If
PSA
Continues To Rise and Then Have Scans When
PSA
Indicates They Might Be of Some Value. Not Sure What The Next Step Will Be If
PSA
Continues Trending Upwardly and If Scans Confirm Changes To Tumors....

Survival outcomes and prognostic factors for first-line abiraterone acetate or enzalutamide in patients with metastatic CRPC
Patients with mCRPC who received first-line ARATs had better survival if they had a
PSA
nadir≦2 ng/mL or a TTN≧7 months. Further study is needed to determine if an early switch in therapy for those in whom neither is achieved may impact OS.

Lupron from 3 to 6 months
Hi Fellow PC warriors, Since my
PSA
is undetectable, less than 0.01, and I’m otherwise in good health with stage 4 and mets throughout, my urologist suggests I go from 3 month injections intervals to every 6 months.

excuse me asking. Brain fog.
Long story short, wanted me to try and taper down until a comfortable level , and we would discuss In October, when I have to have further
PSA
tests, and stuff. We discussed going from 10 to 9 ..8 and so on. My Brain is not functioning .

Paying it forward for folks whose partner is undergoing treatment.
With a
PSA
of 73, he was quickly and thoroughly scanned and biopsied to determine he has Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer. Many of you know that shock and horror. As the months have gone by and we rode this unfortunate roller coaster he is stable and we are good.
