Options for pain relief what are there?
I've been on 30/500 cocodamol for 5 years now. I went straight from a back injury to RA. Last time I saw the GP I asked to stop and go on to something else but he refused. Needless to say it is no longer wo Int for the pain and I only take it out of desperation to get the even a small benefit. What

Nortriptyline side effects
I've just been put on nortriptyline at 10mg. I am finding about an hour after taking it I start to feel agitated and I can't sleep at all as my mind is racing. This is very different to the amiiltriptyline which worked and I slept better but had to stop as it gave me a nasty arrhythmia. The next morning

Nortriptyline people's experiences?
So they have put me on nortriptyline to see if it helps with the pain. I'm not on dmards as I can't tolerate them. I was put on amiltriptyline last year but developed a scary arrhythmia one month in. The amiltriptyline helped me sleep and I felt better. The nortriptyline seems to be having the opposite

Resetting a decent sleep schedule
So after losing my job, I have completely gone off track with sleep. It's nearly 3am which means I won't drag my body out til 11 am or noon. I need to be getting ready to move but I'm constantly fatigued - even took a 3 hour nap a few days ago After I'd already slept 10 or so. Advice? Try for sleep

Frustrated and Helpless
Since 2008 I have been dealing with an unknown disease(s) or disorder(s)--which may have been dormant in my system until now, but we have no idea. Doctor after doctor has given up on me, some even telling me I'm imagining it, despite real symptoms and problems. My guess is that whatever it is, the symptoms

Insomnia and Anxiety
Hi there I am reaching out for advice and support. I am 40 years old and have spent the last 15 years suffering from insomnia. For the last eight years I have used ambien in conjunction with my anti depressants for sleep. I recently started a new job and my new insurance has advised they do not want

Just wondering......
Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has any experience or any comments about the following : my tinnitus is now so ferocious in volume , pitch and intensity it is exhausting to cope with . I am not anxious about it any more than I was anxious when I had a migraine , or toothache or a cold. It is the pain

IBS d relief
I suffered with IBS d for years. I tried all the usual meds., no success. My doctor gave me Nortriptyline. I just take the smallest dose of 10 mg each night and now at last I am pain and diarrhoea free. Hope this will help someone.

Back pain/sciatic nerve issues
Hi all. This is my first post here. I was diagnosed with endo stage 4, 13 years ago. I have always been in pain and it has curtailed my life in so many ways. I am lucky to have only had 4 operations, for a bowel resection, pelvic excision (all my organs needed separating), endometrial cysts and a diagnostic

Allodynia/Fibromyalgia
Hi, I've just discovered this forum. Have problems with itching, burning skin very sensitive to touch - seams on clothing are a nightmare (have to remake everything and turn undies & socks inside out). Most clothing feels like sandpaper rubbing against my skin - especially on arms, torso and ankles

Insomnia..grrrrr
Does anyone suffer from insomnia, is it another symptom of Ataxia. (Only just been diagnosed) Crazy, during the daytime exhaustion suddenly overwhelms me but then when I go to bed at night I toss and turn for a couple of hours, usually experiencing cramping pains until I finally give in and get up
