Extreme Tinnitus (ear infection?) - Help!
Something very strange has been happening to me since late February, and I'm rather worried. I wondered if anyone here has any suggestions (I'm seeing an ENT tomorrow). Timeline is this: Feb 21st: A nightclub decides to move into my head with an array of thumping-banging-booming sounds IN MY HEAD (

Nortriptyline
Hi all, I’ve been diagnosed with neuropathic pain today and I have a few questions. Obviously the diagnosis is a lot to take in first of all. I was on amitriptyline for about 9 months previously, I took myself off it a month ago because the side effects were horrendous. My consultant prescribed me

Anyone tried Nortriptyline?
Hi all, just wondering if anyone has been recommended or tried Nortriptyline by their doctor for help with easing pressure or tightness in scalp/head? I know it's an anti-depressant but apparently my doctor told me it helps muscle relax too. I have a lot of tightness and pressure in my head still, 2.5

Strange pain in lower left of abdomen
Hi all Brief history - had a pain in my lower left quadrant for 7/8 years. Had a ct scan and colonoscopy 4 years ago which found nothing. Dr said it's probably ibs, prescribed me some nortriptyline (which worked for a short while) and said to monitor what I eat to see if I can find the triggers. 4 years

Functional Neurological Disorder - Mostly sensory
Hi! I'm new here. I think I have functional neurological disorder. My neurologist didn't state it in those terms, but she explained it as a human brain is like software and my brain has a glitch, even though the hardware seems ok. A little background knowledge. I'm 39, born with nearly complete deafness

Antidepressant to wean off Pramipexole???
I saw my GP yesterday to discuss help with weaning off Pramipexole. I gave her a list of the various meds I had tried over the last few years with no success! She had given me Tramadol before but it does nothing for me...it does not help with pain nor RLS for me. I asked if I could try Methadone as

Can acupuncture help pudendal pain?
Hello, I’m new to this forum. I’ve had pudendal neuralgia since 2003. I had a repair op to the rectocele in 2007 which sadly made it worse. I’ve been on Pregabalin & Nortriptyline at various doses since then. I managed to get it manageable to get out and about but since Christmas I encountered a bad

Travelling after BM
Hi everyone! I have a question...I am 2 years post BM recovery and it's been a tough road, however I'm now considering going away on holiday and would like to know whether anyone has travelled after having meningitis (bacterial if possible)? I still get a woozy feeling when I walk around and would like

Feeling so weird.
Woke up this morning feeling okay, but this afternoon I start to feel so sick. Light headed, bloated, muscles pain, heartburn and tremors everywhere in my body. Is this normal?😭😫 I am currently taking hydroxychloroquine, steroids and immunesopressant plus lansoprazole for silent reflux and nortriptyline
