Prostate Cancer Care With No Rectum
First post here. This blog is somewhat intimidating; I'm in awe of members' knowledge of PCa treatments, and of all the abbreviations sprinkled throughout. I'm 78 years old, being treated at MSK--now on 4 months of Orgovyx; awaiting 20 proton treatments in NY in December. My journey started this spring

Hello
I'm new here so just saying "hello". 71 years old retired anesthetist. Had a PSA of 5.7 in Sept 2020. In November 2020 had an MRI guided biopsy by Dr Busch in Chattanooga Tn - Gleason 9 (4+5) confined to the prostate. Bone scan and pelvic CT clear at that time. My Urologist referred me to Dr Lavey

Gerd and Sphincture of Oddi
I’ve been on
protonix
and at times Carafate . Everything was going fine until I got the Covid vaccine. First I started with gas, bloating and stomach pains. Then my Gerd started acting up and I started with this horrific upper abdominal pain that lasted about 30 mins.

Sphincter of Oddi
Doubled my
protonix
and added carafate. Eventually it went away. Now just recently I had the Covid vaccine and it gave me a lot of GI issues. Bloating, gas, and stomach pains and then the upper abdomen pain resembling a gallbladder attack.

Regional or metastatic? Proton + ADT +???
Have a couple of questions I am hoping someone can help with. My husband (77) was diagnosed 1/14/21 with PCa; 4=5=9 and 5=4=9, grade 5. Six/12 cores, all left side malignant; all 6 right benign. PSA was 3.7 in 9/2019, 5.15 in 9/20, 8.18 in 12/20, and 10.43 before Degarelix injection 1/28/21. Last week

Diarrhea after radiation
I'm having a recurrence 15 years after seeds and EBRT. The PSMA scan and a whole-body mpMRI seemed to indicate the only lesion on my T8 vertebra. So last month I had five fractions of proton beam therapy to that vertebra. For those who don't know, the T8 is very near the midpoint of the back, nowhere

Proton Therapy failed.
PSA went up three years in a row rising to 5.09 when Proton Therapy commenced. Gleason was 7 and 6 at time of proton therapy. On Lupron and Zytiga currently. PSA now rising again to 6.33 and unsure of what's next. Appt. 4/30.

My Gleason score is 3+3=6, my biopsy should 2 positive samples out of 12 with less then 2% in one and less then 10 % in another. My PSA previously was
