My digestive specialist recommended it as I have GERD along with swallowing problem and I am concerned about being on
Protonix
for so long. Trying to improve my osteoporosis naturally. I take several supplements and just trying to get the amount of calcium that is recommended.

Seeking Data ???
I am trying to collect information from men in a specific category. That category is men who have had a radical prostatectomy (RP) and thereafter experienced biochemical recurrence (BCR) and used proton beam therapy (PBT) radiation as the treatment following that BCR. I’d like to know several things

Trouble urinating after fiducial placement
Anyone experienced difficulty urinating after fiducial placement? Placement Sept 30 (Tues). Couldn’t urinate 3hrs post insertion so RN tried to cath without anesth gel-severe pain and no go so was sent to ER. They got the job done with gel. Sent home next day after CT and MRI simulations for Proton

Looks like I have a BCR, 9 years after Proton Beam Therapy in Korea
In early 2013, I had 28 doses of PBT radiation at the Korean National Cancer Centre. I most impressive facility that gave me a great outcome. PSA was negligible until 3 years back. Last year my PSA was 0.34. A year later (July 22) it came in at 0.75. The question is where do I go from here. I should

Are MRI with coil and biopsy needed for BCR recurrence in prostate for cryotherapy, HIFU, Tulsa Pro or Brachytherapy?
After posting questions on ADT options for BCR oligometastasis, we have new development/input from RO and MO which makes us delay starting hormone therapy now. We would really appreciate members' input and advice so that we can make informed decision. Brief background, my husband was diagnosed in Dec

ADT options for BCR oligometastesis
Recent Auxmin and PSMA scans show that my husband has BCR oligometastesis (MRI shows nothing). It seems there are two different treatment options/opinions: 1. Lupron OR Eligard OR Firmagon OR Orgovyx for a few months and then radiation, then continue hormone therapy for 1-1.5 years 2. Lupron OR Eligard

Recurring prostate cancer individual seeking Letetium 177 before it spreads more
My recent PSMA scan evidenced recurring prostate cancer now in seminal vesticule following proton therapy in 2015. Well respected USA hospital MD said surgery & radiation out due to previous proton radiation & closeness to bladder & rectum. Other than ADT only hope would be to get Letetium 177 treatment

Proton Therapy verses SBRT side effect differences
Are the side-effect profiles between Proton Therapy and SBRT essentially the same? The Proton Therapy advocates say the side effect profile from Proton Therapy is significantly less than SBRT or other External Beam types of radiation, but are there any side by side comparisions to show this? Issues

Also elevate head of bed, no eating 3 hr. before bed, low dose of
protonix
every morning. My issue is mainly regurgitation, not so much acid or bile. But I did have Barretts and last scope had healed it to lowest level by these methods. Best wishes

I addressed my stomach issue with
protonix
but feel bad in other ways from it. Today I'm weak shakey and my heart flutters all over the place every day. If I sit (which is almost all day every day) I'm not too bad but to exert in anything my heart goes flipping.

Information about a RO for treatment following BCR at a proton beam therapy facility
Greetings fellow travelers. I'm seeking recommendations about an experienced RO at a proton beam facility for treatment following BCR. Any information that you might be able to offer would be appreciated.

First reoccurrence chemotherapy not worked
Hi, so my sister had a reoccurrence after a month and went onto have six weekly one hour sessions of chemotherapy. After five sessions CT has been done. CA125 markers are up. Chemotherapy hasn’t worked so that has been stopped. I will be seeing her consultant tomorrow with her. I have put to him that

Pylarify and ADT question
Hello All , My father (74) was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer intermediate (on the border of favorable and unfavorable) with gleason 7, his bone scan and PET scan came out clean. After much fight I was able to get Pylarify approved. For members who have gotten the PSMA PET can you let me know

Proton Beam
Hello, I don't know if it's possible to use for ovarian cancer but has anyone had proton beam therapy at all? Or if not directly on their ovaries for any spread of the disease? Thank you

PC History
A conditioned hardcore athlete, at the age of 59 I had Da Vinci surgery in 2010 with Gleason 4+3=7, PSA 9. Post surgical biopsy showed all margins clear with no seminal vesicle involvement. I had no incontinence and an active sex life for ten years when cancer suddenly went active again with PSA rising

Proton therapy vs IMRT?
Looked at studies - seem inconclusive as to any advantage for one over other. Some indications PT may have less side effects, maybe? Local radiation folks (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance) say have seen slightly more rectal bleeding from PT. Thoughts?
