177Lu-PSMA-R2 in Patients With PSMA Positive Progressive, Metastatic, Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer

I have received all three treatments as of May 20. They were six weeks apart. My initial PSA was 90. After the first treatment it went down to 60 and after the second treatment it went down to 47. All the cancer was in my bone. There are approximately 15 osseous tumors. Testing indicates that growth of these tumors has stopped however I am not aware if any of them have shrunk. I promised to bring everyone up-to-date after I get it and share. There is no cancer in my lymph nodes or organs. I went outside of the box and attacked these aggressively with proton therapy and they remain free of cancer today. Of course that does not mean much when you’re dealing with bone cancer. Anyway at this time I am feeling well and pain-free. I’m anticipating progression free survival for a bit. God bless you all in this battle! I was Gleason score 4+4 in 2008 my PSA what is doubling every month and a half when I was at 90. I’ve had all other traditional unexpected treatments that I have read in this group.

Who was your oncologist at Hopkins? Were you in a clinical trial?

It was a clinical trial and they may still be adding people to it. I’m really not sure. Just cut and paste the information in the title above and it should get you to the Hopkins trial. Good luck

I will be starting LU177 treatment on June 8th. Is there any advice that you could give in preparing for the treatment? During treatment and after treatment. Thank you. Great to hear you are doing so well. God bless

The side effect that they anticipated me getting which were dry mouth and dry eyes did not occur. You will have some fatigue however it is nowhere near what would occur with chemotherapy. Best of luck to you and God bless you as well!
