Diarrhea after radiation

I'm having a recurrence 15 years after seeds and EBRT. The PSMA scan and a whole-body mpMRI seemed to indicate the only lesion on my T8 vertebra. So last month I had five fractions of proton beam therapy to that vertebra. For those who don't know, the T8 is very near the midpoint of the back, nowhere near the prostate, rectum, or bladder. About two weeks after the last fraction, I have started having moderate diarrhea. I'm wondering if this is a common side effect of radiation? I could see it if the radiation was to the prostate and close to the rectum but mine is not that close.

It could be from the small intestine or some nerves connecting to T8.

Ever since radiation almost 20 years ago I have had off and on diarrhea .....Just learned to live with it....

I remember when they biopsied a schwannanova in my pelvis. My knee was sure feeling it. Nerve endings get garbled
