Effexor to pristiq switch
Has anyone switched from effexor to pristiq? I've been on such a long journey to feel relief from constant anxiety and so far nothing works. I was recently on 175mg effexor and my Dr switched me to 50mg pristiq. She had me just completely switch, no weaning. I've taken it for about 4 days now. I suddenly

Xtandi for non MCRPC
Since being approved last July how many of you guys are in this scenario ? While my PSA was shooting through the roof in terms of doubling .08 in September when we caught it after Proton therapy and becoming partially castrate resistant to 3.95 in January it took Xtandi/ Lupron15 days to knock it to

Albumin.
I have posted on the importance of albumin before, particularly in: "Inflammation ... Albumin & C-Reactive Protein [CRP]" [1] It's odd that albumin could prove to be predictive of survival in different medical situations, & even in "healthy" individuals. I have often wondered why an albumin infusion

VIIBRYD or pristiq problems?
Does anyone have experience with VIIBRYD? I’ve been off pristiq since dec 26, 2018. I’ve been foggy since day 1 on VIIBRYD and have been taking it since about Dec 1, 2018. My mood did improve but I started to have vision problems and anxiety is so high. Doc prescribed me Vistaril at night for insomnia

Depression and staying home
Hello everyone. Hope everyone here is having a good day. I’ve been having bouts of anxiety recently and in turn it’s worsened my depression. I retired early last year due to my severe depression, which I was hospitalized for. I’ve always been an avid weightlifter, which is something I’ve been doing

New cholesterol lowering drug
With all the interest in the affect of cholesterol on PCa, I thought this paper might be of Cardiol Rev. 2019 Jan/Feb;27(1):49-56. doi: 10.1097/CRD.0000000000000218. Second lap in 3 weeks, help with post surgery care
Hi ladies. I would just love your input on supplements or medications that will help my recovery and minimising scar tissue after my surgery. I've researched sperrapteptase for dissolving scar tissue but from what I've read it says it's only used for inflammation and can interfere with blood clotting

Fibroids and AR
Hello, does anyone have any experience of undergoing any assisted reproduction with fibroids? I’ve been doing a lot of research on it and would really love to know other people’s experiences. I have 3 fibroids, the largest of which is 4x4. The others are under 2cm. They’re all intramural or subserosal

Relapsing PMR
I’m interested in others’ experiences with relapse following treatment for PMR. I finished my11-month course of prednisone Dec 31, and was fine for awhile but stiffness and pain - and limited range of motion - are creeping up on me. My internist, who has treated many people with PMR, said that

Can anyone help me interpret / argue my blood results to my GP?
Hi, I had a full run of bloods last week which have all been signed off as "satisfactory" by the GP. This doesn't solve anything, as I'm still so exhausted that I sleep through 3 alarms including a sunlight alarm clock every morning and can barely keep my eyes open all day. I'd be really grateful

First FET cycle : delays, delays, delays
Hi all! I am going through my first FET cycle and had my prostap injection 3 weeks ago. I was to go back again today as the lining after 2 weeks wasn’t thin enough. I’ve gone back today (3 weeks since injection) and it’s a tad THICKER with a follicle growing above 6mm which they tell me shouldn’t

ADT or Not?
I am new here. I am 60 years old and work full time as an engineer. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer last August and set on Proton therapy. The doctor recommends ADT for 3-6 months prior to, and during my proton treatments, and says it will increase effectivity by 20-25%. But I am reading horror

Change of clinic, change of attitude
I’ve had a productive couple of weeks recently that I wanted to share here as this forum helped me get out of my despair. I received NHS funding for 2 cycles at an excellent clinic in London, and have had my first consultation there - love the doctor. She said one failed IVF cycle doesn’t indicate needing
