Hi ladies. So I had an appointment with consultant last week. He wants to operate again but said because I’ve had another course of prostap I have to wait 9 months to get fully out of my system ready for operation. Has anyone ever been told this? He said I can’t take anything such as the contraceptive pill. So sounds like 9 months of hell for me!
Also mentioned frozen pelvis. Has this been mentioned to any of you? If so, what does it feel like for you? Xx
hi. I've not heard of that with the prostap but my surgery was before the prostap. I had a full frozen pelvis, I had a heavy uncomfortable feeling all the time, lots of back pain and hip pain. My surgery helped hugely and I get very little pain theses days. Xx
Hard to describe but it feels like pressure and pulling inside my vagina and the above wall, below pubic bone. Hip pain yes and back pain always. Just can’t understand why I have to wait so long for surgery. Only had 4 injections. He told me to stop them as well x
it is difficult to describe but the relief after my operation was instant I hadn't realised just how much pain I was in till it wasn't there. I felt like something was being screwed into my hips and back it was there all the time.
I'm not sure either as I was put on it to stop new growth between operations as I was meant to be having my bowel and bladder treated but they decided it was to far gone and the risk to high. Are you being treated at a bsge centre if your in the UK? Xx
I’m being treated in Wales. Never been offered to go to bsge. I’ve heard of it. This going to be my third operation for endo. Seems to get worse every time. Did you ask to be referred to bsge or did you request?x
