NDT+T3 or NDT+LEVO ?
I have a dilemma, today I received the labs for my 3,5 grains Thiroyd-Thai.ndt. I am on ndt for about 3 months, initially I was on 125mcg levo+12,5T3 but not doing very well. The values are not very good, ft4 is low 11,90 (11,97-21) and ft3 is 5,64 (3,1-6,8). I split the ndt in two doses. If I raise

Low T3 syndrome in thyroid therapy: THREE studies
Another interesting post from Prof Smith. PR "In contrast with a long list of over 70 medical research articles on low T3 syndrome that excluded thyroid patients, I have only found three (3) studies so far that included patients being treated for hypothyroidism." https://thyroidpatients.ca/2019/08/29

Scalp Issues & Hair Loss
Hi Lisalou19, Firstly, I hope your newly prescribed shampoo gives you some relief from the continous itch & heat and worse of all hair loss. As a female you treasure your hair as they say it is your "crowning glory". It is sooooooooo depressing. But hey, hopefully we can turn it all around! These are

Hair loss
My niece has had long term lupus - now hair is very thin on top of her head and also scalp very red. I would like to buy her a good quality wig so she is less self conscious when she goes out. Not to wear all the time at home. She is mid aged 55 Any suggestions would be welcome Morvich

Biotin and other supplements and meds
After having tests during which I had to stop taking biotin, as it interferes with results, I was wondering if it interferes with the absorption of other supplements. I don't take it with my thyroid and adrenal meds. Does it interfere with other vitamins such as vitamin C, B12, or things like L glutamine

Hair loss
Does anyone know anything about hair loss in relation to the fine hair that covers your body rather than your actual head hair? I seem to have developed 2 circular bald patches from my forehead and now it’s started disappearing from my throat. Is this related to the thyroid or is an auto immune thing

Hair loss in August or September. Is this linked to the sun ?
I loose my hair around this time of year normally about every 2 years though sometimes more often sometimes every few years. I was out of the country for 7 years in hot client but only fell out once. Since home in England it has fallen relentlessly. I carnt pin it down only to stress and anxiety of trying

Prostap and tibilone hrt
Hi I'm on my 2nd prostap injection and getting awful headaches. I've been given tibilone hrt to start if I need it but am a bit reluctant to try it as others have said about unpleasant side effects. Should I be taking it and will it help with the headaches?

Chemo hair loss
Hi I am posting on this site as my hair loss is due to Chemotherapy 8 years ago. As well as the total loss of my eyebrows I have very little hair and have to wear a wig. As you can imagine with the loss of my breast and hair my self esteem is at rock bottom even after all this time. Whilst I am grateful

Teva dispensed- not feeling good
Hi. I’m on 75mcg liquid Levothyroxine. Plus 10mcg T3. Recently I was dispensed Teva Levothyroxine. I’ve only had this once before some years ago and remember not feeling good. I’ve been taking it along with my T3 x2 5mcg daily. I was feeling so great after starting my T3 6 weeks ago. Had bloods done

Anyone have experience of drinking tamarind tea?
I happened to post a photo of my lupus rash on social media. A Jamaican relative suggested I drink tamarind tea, which is widely used in the caribbean for skin conditions by the elders. It's not something I'm familiar with and wondered if anyone has any knowledge or experience of using it?
